Antibes, Cote d'Azur during sunrise. Last week I returned from a 16 day road trip through southern france. First I went to visit the Lavender fields around Valensole and the Verdon Canyon. I continued the journey in Cassis and from there went along the Cote d'Azur.
For my taste there are to many citys at the coast there and I enjoyed my time in the back country much more than the coast. But I couldn't resisit to explore the area a bit during sunrise. Then it's quite calm and I had those beautiful views for myself, as here in Antibes.
Here's a short video tutorial about how I combined two exposures in this photo: mibreit-photo.com/blog/2015/07/photography-tip-combining-...
Antibes is close to Cannes, a beatuiful small twon in Provence.
Photo taken using my new Fuji X100S. It has ISO autobracketing which is great for HDR of moving subjects. The camera does great in high ISO, so it is perfect for these scenes. Processed in Photomatix and postprocessed in PS to reduce Photomatix noise and add curves.
I've added a painterly effect with Topaz Impressions 2, to one of my photos of Antibes in France.

Rue Aubernon in Antibes. I often think I've done enough "shutters-and-shadows" shots over the years. Then you get something like this, which is just that bit different.
