enjoying view of Mt Hood with it's summit in the clouds ~ from the mountains on the WA side of the river. (Yes, that is snow on the mountain) A bit smoggy today with the heat (93+ degrees)...we hope we can remember how to get to this logging road again, as it had beautiful panoramic views of the valley we would love to see in the fall.

Black-eyed Susans always dry into artsy shapes. This one reminds me of the poster shot from Annie the musical with Annie's hair blowing. Actually, I got that wrong, I meant the poster shot from Les Miserables showing Cossette as a child with scraggly hair.
An "Annie" southbound full of 40 ft. boxcars rolls at Cohoctah, Michigan enroute to Toledo with a pair of GP35's on February 28, 1978.
This is our sweet Annie but we call her Annie Banana. She has been feeling out ranked and will not put up with it anymore. She would like you all to know that she is doing just fine, loving life and making sure that everyone is where they should be. McNab Shepherds are like that.
Our sweet Annie is a McNab Shepherd. Smartest dog we have ever been lucky enough to part of our family. These dogs always need a job and on this very hot day in Oklahoma we thought cleaning the lake of unwanted debris was a good chore..

An old Ann Arbor GP35, still wearing the blue/yellow of successor Tuscola & Saginaw Bay (and the lettering of TSBY successor Great Lakes Central), sits outside the former AA shops in Owosso.
Annie Girardot was our greatest and most famous french actress in the 70ies. She was known by a part of the world when she played in Rocco and his brothers (Visconti) with Alain Delon, Renato Salvatori and the very young Claudia Cardinale. Renato Salvatori became her husband and the father of Julia Salvatori, their daughter.
Annie Girardot had this terrible desease that Rita Hayworth had long long ago : Azeilmer desease.
My sweet friend Añelo learnt me Annie's death by mail this evening and we both cried on her.
A fan immediatly opened a Facebook at her name and people can write sweet words for her and her family.
Annie could make us laugh and cry - she was a beautiful lady full of generosity and interest for other people. She could be many women - she was the first feminine actress to play lawyer, surgeon, doctor,........ great parts they usually give to men.
She had a beautiful and sensitive way of looking at people, things,......
her soul and heart were reflected in her beautiful brown eyes.
Please, do have a thought for her - she really deserves this. She is a part of French Cinéma, a part of France. She had studied in the Conservatoire of theater of Paris (like Jeanne Moreau to whom journalists liked to compare her).

I've posted a photo of Annie before and called it Once Upon A Time. Turns out Annie is very photogenic and works enthusiastically as a model! Although, she was a bit afraid to stay on "Purple" the race horse but in the end managed beautifully. Purple is a very aged racehorse... somewhere in his/ her thirties having originally belonged to my daughter and now gets exercised by the Princess Tornado. It's a hard life but probably beats existing in an attic. Photo was taken for the 52Frames weekly challenge B&W. Annie gave me her horror movie look here. LOL... I should probably stop here. Thanks for the kind response - I wasn't expecting so much. I would like to point out the amazing material and model and this particular concept on the day was organised by Glen Flowers - thanks for having me along Glen - great results as you can see.
Davina did an amazing job body painting the symbols on.
The challenge for the group I'm in (52Frames) was levitation. And since the Princess Tornado didn't seem interested in being the victi... I mean the model, Annie volunteered. This turned into an all day nightmare as I struggled to figure out Lightroom and Photoshop to remove the background and add a shadow. I'd like to say I learned something with this challenge, but no. I didn't. I don't even remember how many YouTube videos I watched! :D Annie is becoming a pro at modeling for me and this is the third time I have used her for these group photos.
