This was a bead retreat kit that I had in my supplies, It's an anklet. I added the star shells myself as charms, I bought them at Wal-Mart or somewhere a while back.
Metalsmithing and research. It has a hidden compartment in the back which opens to fill with patchouli coated fabrics to peek through the scent holes.
This piece was designed around my research and experience with people's love/hate extreme reactions to patchouli. 90% lovely smooth surfaces, with euphoric swirls vs 10% bumpy undesirable cone shape protruding out from beneath with curling twisted tendrils creeping up like scent to a nose. This symbolizes how 90% of people absolutely love the scent, wandering around to seek out it's origin, desperately NEEDING to know what it is and where it is coming from, not unlike catnip to a cat (it IS a member of the catnip family of plant). But in contrast to that, 10% of the public are so repulsed by it that otherwise calm people, go into quite the dramatic display vocalizing to everyone in earshot how disgusted they are with "that awful smell" .
Other symbolism of my research are: bells and ankle placement=India adornments, tiny bells from jewelry of India, plant leaf shapes at bottom, euphoric swirl design as in mehndi decoration and also because it is said to have a euphoric effect, and amber and orange colored droplets symbolized the colors of the oils the plant produces when leaves are distilled to make the fragrance.
This double layered anklet has been created with various glass beads and accented with silver charms in wings and spiral designs. The two layers connect through two silver and crystal charms (seen on the sides of the spiral). It was strung on wire, adjusts to fit an ankle between 8-9", and closes with a metal clasp. This would look really awesome with a belly dancing outfit (:
My take on the "silver sixpence in her shoe" :) I was barefoot, so I had a very talented Etsy artist turn a sixpence I provided her into an anklet for me!

some old regia I have around. I like regia a lot, while it's not as soft as other sock yarns, it is super durable. These are just fun anklets.
I purled at semi-random on the tops of the socks when colors other than blue appeared, to give it a little bit of texture.

This is the next in my Elemental necklace series- "Smaug's Ire" represents Fire.
This necklace is crocheted from yarn that's 50% wool and 50% hemp, strung with Fire-colored beads. At the center is a pewter Dragon charm, and around it are glass, plastic, and polymer clay (I made the clay ones) beads in black, orange, red, and yellows. The red cord/yarn is actually more red than it looks in the photos against the grass background; it's actually a crimson color.
The entire necklace is about 44" (111.8 cm) long (including extra cord to tie with where it isn't crocheted), but the crocheted, thicker part is about 29" (73.7 cm). You tie the necklace in the back, so it can fit any size neck, and can be worn tighter or looser (personally I usually wear this style as a choker or tight necklace).
It can also be worn as an anklet!

This anklet was woven using macrame knotting techniques and 1mm black and variegated rainbow hemp to create a lace-like effect. Anklet is finished with silver plated crimp end and a silver plated hook style clasp.
This anklet is made of amethyst and gold colored seed beads and comes on a clear elastic cord. It has a gold plated lobster clasp and measures 9".
