El famoso reloj Anker (Ankeruhr) se encuentra en la plaza más antigua de Viena, la Hoher Markt , sobre un pequeño puente que une dos edificios de oficinas.
Su nombre proviene de la Anker Insurance Company, a la cual le encargaron su construcción. Fue Franz Matsch quien lo diseñó, en bronce y cobre, terminándolo en 1914.
Cada hora es señalada por un personaje histórico, como el emperador Marco Aurelio, el duque Rodolfo IV o Haydn. Además, a las doce del mediodía todos los personajes (los doce correspondientes a cada hora, sin distinguir a.m. o p.m.) desfilan juntos al son de la música de órgano.

Alle, die keinen Urlaub machen können, mögen mich auf einer Runde durch Wien begleiten. Vorbei an den berühmten Sehenswürdigkeiten, aber vielleicht auch abseits Sehenswertes entdecken ...
... am Hohen Markt in der Wiener Innenstadt. Die Ankeruhr ist eine brückenartige Verbindung von 10 Metern Länge zwischen zwei Gebäuden. Diese Spieluhr im Jugendstil ist eine Touristenattraktion. Sie wurde 1914 erstmals in Betrieb genommen. Jede Stunde wandern historische Persönlichkeiten vorbei und zur vollen Stunde ertönt ein Stundenschlag. Um 12 Uhr ziehen alle Figuren vorbei, jeweils begleitet von einem passenden Musikstück, früher aus Orgelpfeifen, heute als digitale Tonwiedergabe. Auf meinem Foto sieht man Kaiserin Maria Theresia und Franz Stephan von Lothringen.

... at the Hoher Markt in the centre of Vienna. The Anker (anchor) clock is a bridge-like connection of 10 metres between two buildings. This Art Nouveau style music clock is a tourist attraction. It was first put into operation in 1914. Every hour historical figures pass by and at the exact hour a chime sounds. At 12 o'clock, all the figures pass by, each accompanied by a suitable piece of music, formerly from organ pipes, today as digital sound reproduction. In my photo you can see Empress Maria Theresa and Franz Stephan of Lorraine.

Im Schiffshebewerk Henrichenburg (1899) in Waltrop (D). Über 60 Jahre war die Anlage in Betrieb. Sie ist heute ein Industriedenkmal und Museum.
Ein altes Holzboot mit einem rostigen Anker.Im inneren steht das Wasser und es wachsen schon kleine Pflanzen.
