My favorite time to be on the beach is when the tide is coming in. Bulging waves roll up further and further, until they overtake the dry sand. They bring with them treasures from the deep. It’s exciting when the ocean leans forward to say hello, as it were.
Contrary to every instinct, we spend most of our modern lives trapped in square boxes, whether in vehicles or buildings, and also in mental boxes, and we languish in our prison of stasis. There, we obsess about power struggles. Could it be because we have cut ourselves off from the experience of nature’s power?
The tide is coming in. Plump waves are rolling up the beach. Tidda responds. She becomes animated. She feels the spirit of the sea rising and we both feel the energy. The breath of life enters us. My mood lifts. I laugh and feel playful. We have stepped into nature’s flow of power. When the tide rises, all rise together. When it sinks, all sink together.
From the bus - this animated conversation caught my attention. One from the archive that's been kicking around and is maskless - remember that?

An immersive media art exhibition opened its doors at the Incheon International Airport’s Terminal 1 on Wednesday.
Titled the “K-Culture Museum,” the exhibition was hosted and organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency (Kocca). It was previously on view inside Gyeongbokgung Station in 2021 and has been upgraded for this version.
The exhibition is divided into five sections with some 30 media art pieces showcased through large-screen LED screens and mirrors. Kocca teased in a press release that the media art will feature gemstones, the Studio Ghibli animated character Ponyo and customizable airplanes.
THE ONE N ONLY
In all of Sunset Park this was the only gosling I found, just the one. I ran into someone that said there was 4 of them yesterday. Now I see the danger in being the first to have chicks.
As many in Boston thought that this statue was just a statue until people walked up and as no one figured, the statue in question made animated movements to distribute candy to anyone near. Many marveled at the sudden animated movements that this not so statue made.

All the LEGO Batman Movie news got me to thinking - there's a super iconic cartoon car from my childhood I still haven't built. So I put this together yesterday mostly from memory, and I cleaned it up a bit today with some internet research. Pretty happy with it considering it came together faster than most builds.
