High iso morning shot of a squirrel gathering leaves. Earlier on I missed one dragging a full branch across the floor but it was so dark that I could just about see it.

When the stars threw down their spears

And water'd heaven with their tears:

Did he smile his work to see?

Did he who made the Lamb make thee?

I guess I seem happy

when you look and you see

me sat here

looking at everyone naturally

so many come and look

and wondering at what they see

I also look and think

sometimes I feel it's me !

Poem from www.flickr.com/photos/beverleyplaya/

Its almost mid-November and we still haven't had a frost, another weird weather event but because of the warm weather alot of critters still alive and/or around...and we have alot of flowers still in bloom.

In what distant deeps or skies.

Burnt the fire of thine eyes?

On what wings dare he aspire?

What the hand, dare seize the fire?

Another lamb birth

a Wonderful Healthy little one !

Born this moment , 1 loner

Have a Beautiful Easther Everyone

The Sheep and Lambs stay inside, it's too cold outside, and there are wolves in my area.

So I'm not taking any chances !

A riot of color from the Flamingos feeding in the Celestun Wildlife Refuge on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico.

Tigers are the largest cat species in the world and the third-largest carnivore on land--only polar and brown bears are larger. An adult Amur or Siberian tiger (the largest subspecies) can weigh up to 660 pounds. The Sumatran tiger is the smallest, with males only weighing up to 310 pounds.

Oriental darter hunts in the morning light at Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary.

Another snowy hike in Rocky Mountain National Park and another visit from the inquisitive Steller’s Jay

Hello Everyone

It's time to take off the coat!

Busy days

Mowing last week and harvesting silage tomorrow !

The eyes of cats contain primarily rods. Tigers have circular pupils and yellow irises (white tigers have blue irises). Due to the lack of cones in the eye these see depth rather than colour.

Seals eagerly await some fish scraps as fisherman clean and prepare their fish for market in Valparaíso Chile.

Without a doubt, Euchromia folletii is one of the most beautiful and colorful moths that one can hope to see. Found in select west African countries i.e. Gabon but also across east Africa from South Africa to Ethiopia, as well as Madagascar. These dayflying moths can often be spotted in low vegetation or feeding on flowers. Crazy beautiful!

Another of the friends I made on this weekend's snowy hike in Rocky Mountain National Park - please meet the Steller's Jay!

cute Rottweiler pup

One man's trash is another man's treasure...my first trip to Australia I was enamored with all the new species that I saw - including the rainbow lorikeet. But quickly found out that these were a common species, almost like getting excited about seeing a robin, sparrow or crow in the USA. We'll I still enjoy seeing a robin and with colors like this I don't think I would tire of seeing them each and every day! Liked this composition with the Lori searching for something on this palm tree.

I tried mostly unsuccessfully to photograph the many butterflies we saw – managed to nap this one with a reasonably good shot – I have hundreds of missed opportunities with blurry shots on my cards – they were too fast.

Butterflies use their feet to taste. Ask yourself what it means when one lands on you!

In what distant deeps or skies.

Burnt the fire of thine eyes?

On what wings dare he aspire?

What the hand, dare seize the fire?

And what shoulder, & what art,

Could twist the sinews of thy heart?

And when thy heart began to beat,

What dread hand? & what dread feet?

Royal Bengal Tigers are the largest amongst other wild cats The male Tigers weigh up to 300 kilograms. That’s like weighing a group of six average human. All they have to do is sit on top of you licking their paws, you’d be dead instantly.

The saddest part is that Tiger cubs are born blind and only a few survive. Literally, the newborn cubs can't see anything, they only follow the scent of their mother. Since they are born blind and can't keep up, most of them die of hunger or cold.

Almost time to go back into the field and graze !!!!

But inside at night, also for the wolves.

Young cattle stay indoors ,for safety

greetings Caroline and the farm animals

From the wilds of Mongolia to the wilds of my backyard for this pic of the Tiger Swallowtail's Caterpillar. These are typically green but as they get ready to pupate they turn red-ish orange.

In Deutschland hat diese Gattung der Raubkatzen unter anderem die Alpen, den Jura, die Vogesen, den Pfälzerwald, das Fichtelgebirge, den Bayerischen Wald, den Böhmerwald und den Spessart besiedelt.

In Germany, this species of predatory cat has colonized, among other places, the Alps, the Jura, the Vosges, the Palatinate Forest, the Fichtel Mountains, the Bavarian Forest, the Bohemian Forest and the Spessart.

Another look at the amazing Hummingbird Moth, a truly Marvelous Moth and example of convergent evolution!

Last summer, couldn't take many pictures.

Cows were inside a lot, because of the heat!

and also the drought, too less grass to graze !

If, weather permitting,

I hope to be able to take some more pictures.

Greetings all the farm animals

Horses in Vienna all decked out for Christmas!

Haven't finished posting photos from a recent work trip to India, but started to look at pics from a recent fun/vaykay trip to Belize, and was in love with a lot of them - especially the underwaters shots - here's one of a sea turtle - I think its a green!

Was -10 last week and looking like another big snow storm on its way...dreaming of warmer days ahead.
