Triumphal anglers pulling up triumphantly.
This picture was taken at Shichirigahama Beach in Kamakura, Kanagawa.
A quick grab shot while out looking for something completely different . The sign , reflections and of the the fisherman .
Glad to say I also captured my intended shot while there as well !!
Created for Macro Mondays, theme Dutch Angle. Not sure they are ok, tried 45 degree angle, using background to get more accent
The Bennelong Restaurant - Sydney Opera House.
Amazing to think the vested interests want to use it as a billboard isn't it?
Outrageous flare is from the Samyang 12/2. I tried it without those rain drops but decided against it. I also tried this one in black and white but it didn't quite look as good.
Fuji X-T2, Samyang 12/2, 20 secs at f/11, ISO 400

Sand dune patterns, Death Valley National Park.
This “intimate landscape” is a sand dune vignette made in a specific place but which could be found almost anywhere. A close look may reveal some details that desert and sand aficionados may find interesting. The large patterns are typically found on one side of dunes where sand blown over the top of the dune collects below. The smaller “ripples” are a common feature of dunes, too, and these are completely undisturbed since the dunes are somewhat remote. Looking even closer may reveal some tinier patterns and tracks across the face of the sand.
The term “angle of repose” refers to the steepest angle at which a material, such as this sand, might collect without falling. It is also the title of a wonderful Wallace Stegner novel, and that is where I first encountered the term. Fans of the history of the American West, especially the part that came after initial explorations, and especially those who have roots in the west may enjoy the novel as much as I did, with its connections to places and types of people that I know from my own experience.

La perspective donne à mon image plus de force et de réalisme, je trouve. Et vous, qu'en pensez-vous ?
The perspective gives my image more strength and realism, I think. What do you think ?

This was taken on my personal favorite Kite shooting day last week when they came to me. Due to windy weather this young Kite made several passes over a tall juniper giving me just the 'right angle' before it landed!
Dutch angles experiment using my grandmothers old glass candle holder that is useful during power outages

AAW: Shot with a Phone
My husband and I were driving home this morning when I saw potential in this building and scene. Took some shots with my phone and liked this angle.
