De Nederlandse naam Herfstanemoon verwijst naar het feit dat plant in de herfst bloeit.
In het Engels wordt deze plant Chinese anemone, Japanese anemone, Thimbleweed of Windflower genaamd.
In Duitsland noemen ze haar Herbst-Anemone
In Frankrijk gebruiken ze de naam Anémone du Japon.

Anemone coronaria is a species of flowering plant in the genus Anemone, native to the Mediterranean region.
Each time I think... that's it, there's only so much you can do with flowers... and yet again and again, I'll see something new.
Being creative is not a choice... it is an urge in me.

The many years that my Anemone flowers erupted from the soil, I found myself going to ground level to study the beauty of these flowers. Unfortunately the Anemone flowers no longer appear.
It seems that soil that is too wet or prolonged temperatures over 80 degrees can have an impact on their success..although they could have just outlived their lifespan. I suppose it is time to consider ordering more of these lovely plants.
