A shot that will form part of a series for a geocaching website that has asked me to do some shots. Pretty excited about it but I don't want to say much about it until all the shots are done. I'll post a link to the article when it's up.
To all my Flickr contacts: Sorry about my lack of replies and for not checking out any of your photos :( Have been working like a mofo and any spare time has gone into these geocaching photos. I'll catch up in a week or two!

Cooling off on a hot summer day.
Note: Anyone who lives in Melbourne will be able to tell you it was actually freezing when I took this, given that it's autumn. I was also standing in my underwear on my windy balcony, and I didn't think to use warm water (instead opting for ice-cold pain-water). Holy hell it was cold. And I poured a full 4 litres of water over my head 3 times until my girlfriend got the shot I wanted.

Welcome to Bokeh City.
I combined multiple photos, one with everything in focus and a few with different areas out of focus (to create the bokeh). I also hand-painted the green/purple sky and finally I selectively dodged and burned parts of the "city".

Walking home at night, I spotted this man carrying his sleeping son down an alleyway, gently singing to him. I only had about half a second to snap the photo so I'm fairly happy with the composition. Taken in Footscray, Melbourne Australia.

A remake of one I did a long time ago. Please press L to view full-screen.
How I did it: I took multiple photos, one of me and one of my girlfriend. I photoshopped them together, then made the mirror side colourful and the "real" side desaturated. I had to hand-paint all the coloured reflections on the basin, tap and objects in the "real" side of the mirror. Bleh.
The title of this photo comes from the song, Cool World by Mondo Rock.

My first panorama! This was a heck of a lot of fun to make. 25 shots (16mp per shot) combined to make a 180-degree panorama with a total image size of 15,853 x 4567 pixels. It was a rather crappy looking photo though (it was foggy and cloudy), so I thought I might try sprucing it up a little...
I hand-drew all the black sketchings using a mouse (not fun) and then did some super-secret stuff to make it look like a comic/painting.

This man and his wife were trying to figure out which way to go. The guy (who is clearly the most suave guy in the universe) pulls out a pipe, lights it up and smokes like a champ. I'm actually envious of his wife. I hope she knows she's a very lucky lady.
He is the first person I have met from Flickr, Andrew Wells. Awesome guy with huge passion in photography, check out his work! We met in the city and he brought me to this amazing alley!
We were talking about the caption today "The best camera is the one in your hands". Think he is doing good with a Samsung camera.
Thanks for the coffee mate!
PS: He is a Nikon user, the Samsung camera belongs to a tourist :)
Waited until dusk, then headed to a bridge that overlooked the A55 at Abergele, North Wales. The town in the back ground is Colwyn Bay, with the Hook of Rhos-on-Sea
It's opening week and things have been a little hectic to say the least hence I'm now only getting around to uploading the last 5 days photos. Monday night went really well with our first live practise on friends and family.

When shooting (taking pictures that is) animals, you have to get in to their world, so I spent some time on Wednesday, laying down on the job, so I could look my subject in the eye.
The hard bit was getting her to look me in the eye.

Runners from the Keynsham 10k Road Race, which took place on Sunday 22nd May 2011, starting at The Sports Ground next to the former Cadbury's factory, Somerdale, Keynsham.
From here, after doing laps of the field and grounds o fthe factory, they headed up to the High Street and then into Charlton Road. The runners headed out of the town and then down Redlynch Lane to the small village of Chewton Keynsham, before heading back towards Keynham.
Back in the town, the course took them down Steel Mills, over Dapps Hill bridge and into Keynsham park. Avoiding Ducks on route, the yexited the other side before then heading down Cadbury’s main drive to the finish.
And I was tired just trying to keep up with then and take photos around the course.

After a long evenings work for the Adult Learners Week awards evening, I finally got chance to have a photo with Cheryl Baker. For those over 30, you will remember her from the Eurovision wining 80's group Bucks Fizz
