The abandoned Lawless Ranch House
Located west of Anarchist Summit, outside Bridesville, BC Canada
The house has decayed considerably since the last time I was in the area. The front porch cover is completely gone.
The property originally homesteaded in the 1800's by the Tedrow family from Kanas, USA.
Tedrow sold the property to William Lucien, a man originally from Quebec who had drifted west . Lucien had earlier owned a hotel in Winthrop before coming north to Bridesville in the late 1800's.
Lucien built the ranch house in 1902. The construction material was of dovetailed Tamarack timbers.
This ranch house was a way station for cowboy ranchers during the Rock Creek and Camp McKinney Gold Rush.
The main house was built for the family quarters, the building additions at the rear were built as ranch hand quarters.
(*The house as stands, is of a faded yellow colour, with light green trim)
** If you look close you may notice a lone pigeon perched on the peak of the old shingled roof.

'Why be a copy, when you were born an original'
The barn on what used to be the Lawless Family Ranch. The ranch is in British Columbia and borders with Washington State just over the hill. The cow fence separating Canada and the USA is visible on top of the hill on the very left side. The car hidden by the tall grass in front of the barn is a 1970s Chevrolet Vega station wagon.

seen last year on this day as we zoom-zoomed up to the lookout on Anarchist Mountain to watch the sunset over Lake Osoyoos.
It was rainy all day but we took a chance and drove to the top of Anarchist Mountain and suddenly the sun appeared revealing the beautiful valley below, so snap, snap, snap we went, reveling in the glorious scenery :)
I spotted this couple looking very dapper down on Hastings seafront. I couldn't resist getting a picture of them as they strolled near the fishermans huts. It's only as I was taking the shot I noticed his lapel badge declaring his musical leanings with apparent pride. Taken on a Fujifilm X10 compact.
Some people probably thing that all I do is go to protests and even I admit it seems to be becoming a full time job in addition to my actual full time job.
But, an interesting thing about me is that, a little like being a horse whisperer, I'm sort of a protest whisperer...I can literally be on vacation and the protests will come to me. I had just eaten some delicious vegan food in Amsterdam when I all of a sudden this group of anarchists comes along when I was there in July. I can only imagine with the upcoming election involving anti-immigrant and horror show Geert Wilders, the protests or at least dissent might be intensifying.
I like to follow politics around the world as much as possible and some of the politicians that are running in different countries including Geert Wilders and Marine Le Pen are quite terrifying for their lack of values. Theresa May and the Brexit vote have already caused great damage as well.
I have been very concerned that Trump's "election" has set off a massive right wing domino effect across the world and who always suffer? The poor..the minorities...the people who are disabled and are refugees...those who already suffer on a daily basis. But, anything the politicians can do to distract the middle of the road public from going after their real enemies, the 2% of billionaires who own the 98%...well, it's in their best interest to keep pushing that agenda and it's in our best interest to realize that these are all blatant lies that go against Democracy, Freedom, and Human Rights.
I'm not an anarchist but I still hope there are enough active liberals living in The Netherlands to guarantee a win for Mark Rutte, their current prime minister this Wednesday, March 15th...Beware those Ides of March indeed!
