**Prompt :**

**Prompt:**

> Hyper-realistic cinematic portrait of an intellectual young woman with an elegant, timeless presence, sharp and introspective gaze, deep blue eyes illuminated by soft, dramatic lighting. Her face is composed of intricate geometric facets, modern cubist mosaic style, blending warm and cool tones: amber, ochre, midnight blue, turquoise, and subtle golden highlights.

>

> Short, softly wavy hair with copper and violet reflections, styled naturally yet refined. She wears delicate, minimalist eyeglasses, a refined Victorian-inspired collar, an artistic bow tie, and subtle jewelry that evoke intellect, creativity, and sophistication.

>

> The background is a rich, layered abstract composition: handwritten manuscripts floating in the air, aged book pages, diagrams, scientific symbols, and typographic elements suspended in a dreamlike space. The setting resembles a mental library — a universe of thought, knowledge, and imagination in motion.

>

> Cinematic volumetric lighting, controlled contrast, subtle depth of field, ultra-sharp 8K render, extremely detailed textures, realistic skin, precise light reflections. Intellectual, poetic, and mysterious atmosphere, blending classical art with modern digital aesthetics, hyper-realistic digital painting, film concept art, museum-quality masterpiece, dramatic and inspiring mood.

How is everyone doing?? I’ve honestly missed you all. As you can see, it’s definitely been an age since I’ve last posted here; looks about a year. In fact, I also haven’t even been viewing anyone’s photos on any social media (I emphasize that last part because I really don’t want anyone to think I’m on the apps while just ignoring everyone).

Basically I’ve been in a photography blackout—aside from the occasional photos taken during family events the past 1.5 years. Furthermore, we haven’t even been going to Disney much which, obviously, has been my night photography zone. I’m just so incredibly jaded with their current direction since the pandemic, even before it. The crowds have been next level insanity and at entirely pre-pandemic levels; maybe even worse due to everyone now taking their previously postponed trips. Then there’s the overall current lack of features being offered while an ever increasing cost is enough to turn most people off. You pay all this money for an annual pass but you’re now not even guaranteed to be able to go?? I find that inexcusable and disingenuous; especially for one of the largest corporations on the planet. I’m convinced they’ll never eliminate this reservation system as it helps them with staffing levels and other analytics. Their 2pm park hopping policy is also complete BS. Also, this 50th anniversary is a massive dud. I think the 15th anniversary was the first I experienced and it was light years better than this current one. How is that even possible?? They painted the castle and added some tiny temporary golden statues. Way to go all out for such a milestone. The pandemic is not an excuse for the anemic showing, either.

I’ve been a local passholder since ‘95 along with having first visited the parks in ‘83. So I’ve definitely seen it all and there have been plenty of peaks and valleys over the years. IMO, they’re in a massive trough right now and I don’t know how it’s going to turn out. And to be fair, I’ve felt that they were on a downward trend a while before the pandemic. For instance, taking away our beloved MSEP!/Spectromagic! How is WDW seemingly the only resort in the parks umbrella that doesn’t have a night parade?? In any event, I realize individual experiences vary and many people are definitely enjoying themselves, so I’ll just end my rant. The bottom line for us is that it’s simply been feeling like it’s more of a task to drive over to the parks versus being a fun night out, as it should be.

As for the photo, this was Jan of last year. So you can notice the 50th decor hadn’t yet been added on the castle. There was a lot of blue I this light transition captured, a Disney favorite. I kept going back and forth with either keeping the strong blues, trying to remove them , etc. But my editing is so rusty, this is where I ended. Lastly, It “appears” empty but there were lots of people next to and behind me. It’s why I couldn’t get a more direct straight on shot—which irked my anal retentive self.

Thanks for bearing with me and hopefully I can get back to editing more shots I’ve had on file. Wishing everyone well; sincerely.

I used to have a very analytical approach to writing. In my old way of thinking, you started at the beginning and concluded at the end. That kind of thinking tends to really stymie creative expression. Much the same as getting so mired in the technical aspects of photography that you lose sight of the goal. I vividly recall sitting down to write something, and totally bogging down attempting to write the perfect lead sentence in my head. Sometimes 45 minutes would tick off the clock and all I had to show for it was a blinking cursor where the first letter was yet to be typed. A total exercise in frustration that in itself was guaranteed to inhibit further progress. Somewhere along the way I decided to just hurl myself at storytelling. Literally just jump in somewhere and allow it to go where it would. It's not unlike my approach to photography and I think sometimes it's why I'm able to mesh the visual with the written narrative. The act of writing has become less about thinking of words and more about trying to limit the torrent of thoughts that seem to appear on the screen. Of course some days are better suited to creativity than others. Sometimes I just want to go mow the lawn or do something physical rather than mental, or find a task that requires little thought. I see this as a way to recharge the creative batteries. Invariably once I engage in a non-creative task, my mind begins to go into overdrive, as thoughts and ideas swirl about. Sometimes things gel; other times it's a simple phrase or meme that gets stuck in my mind. Sooner or later it will find an outlet. I'm often amazed at how these little flicker narrative spin up, seemingly out of thin air. Once a photo posts, I just sit down and bang out some random thoughts with little or no forethought. It just goes where it goes in the five to ten minutes allotted to the task. I find any more than that and it sounds over worked and not spontaneous. If there's a tie in to the photo, great. If not, still great. In this case, I was walking around in my backyard yesterday now that the snow is melting. The area is littered with debris and fallen branches and limbs. Edging may way into the woodland, I came across some frighteningly large bits, ones that surely would have caused injury or worse had they landed on someone. Each year I think all the deadwood has fallen, but each year more is produced. It's a cycle without end. Anyway the deadwood meme is what stuck in my head and it reminded me of this scene at a local abandonment. I recall gravitating to the fallen branches protruding from the snow. It was a visual subtlety that greatly enhanced the mood and atmosphere.

Mark this day as it's the day I managed to get 10 Million views on my flickr account. It's been really busy this year and I managed to get all this views in just under a year. Thanks all for your appreciation and for spending time looking at my pictures and liking them and commenting on them.

This is certainly a great milestone.

Thanks for all the views and the likes and keep spreading the love for photography.

I've created my own tool to monitor all the likes and views of my account. The tool is still under construction but you can follow progress here:

Look at this, a second post on here within two weeks of my last! That hasn't happened in a while, but I'm hoping to change that and be a little more active on here as I still love LEGO. I just haven't had much time for it recently, but I'll be trying to do my best to build more. Anyway, this is an older build, which was actually built for and displayed at Bricks Cascade 2018. I'm not happy with the picture, but they all turned out fairly meh and this has long since been scrapped. Hope you guys enjoy it despite that!

Have you checked out Google Analytics? I have been using it for about two months on my blog, and it is very interesting to track...

Sure, it's not about quantity, but I do like the graphs :)
