Both kinds of art in this photo, the video screen in dim surroundings and the gilded frame on the stretched canvas near the center of the photo, involve hands and eyes (mind's eye and eyeballs, too), along with mind for making references to other matters (news, art precedents, surrounding context). But the manner of output by artist and input by visitor are not the same.
For best viewing, the analog piece needs good light - but not harsh direct light - so that the person can freely move from angle to angle when forming an opinion or feeling what the image stimulates by the viewing experience. For the video art piece, normally the sequence of images is looped so that a person can begin at any stage and wait for the return to that point to know all has been seen. Room light can detract from the viewing experience if too bright. And by virtue of the moving images, a person can't linger over the small details of line or color as with a static (analog) artwork.
