It takes 50 to 75 years before a saguaro grows an arm. The average life span is believed to be 150 to 175 years with some living over 200.
Luckily there are many angels on earth.
Some we can feel, some we can see, some we can touch and some to decorate our Christmas tree with.
This is a tiny angel on my tree, a guardian of the good energy in my house 👼

I have never considered myself a spiritual man but how else can I explain how I got to where I am in my life now. When times were at their darkest and I felt more lost than ever, I found myself suddenly able to see the light that changed everything for me. When I am asked now if I believe in miracles, I am hard pressed to say anything but, "Yes, I am living one now".

Working in my garden, I became aware of slight movement to my right.....and a sense of 'being watched'.
Sure enough, perched there in the golden foliage of my Swane's cypress was a lovely praying mantis making its rounds, on the look out for its next meal. However, it had been distracted by my activity and we hung out together for a short while.
What is of interest to me here is that this is the first time I have photographed a praying mantis and not seen the pseudo-pupil black dot on each eye. To me this gives the impression of being even more alien-like.

The Falls (all of them) are totally frozen over. This makes the adventurers among us want to climb under them to see the rushing water beneath. There is no reasonable safe way to do this of course. View at 100% All my fotos are Geotagged. Yellowstone is GRAND from any perspective. BUT in WINTER a journey into the nation's deepfreeze is a fantastic exploration of the senses. It is silent (at first) and then if you sit quietly, the "deafening" silence turns into an awareness of nature, and you hear nature, just as you feel alive from the cold that bites your exposed flesh, if you stay awhile you will then see nature in the animals that make this comfortably home. At 3,472 square miles, the PARK is larger than the states of Rhode Island AND Delaware together it HAS SPACE to roam. I love the mist at the top of this picture, the air temperature is somewhere around 20 below zero Fahrenheit, so the mist does not have to be that warm.
Are there extraterrestrials living among us on earth? What do they do? These are the type of questions humans have debated for ages, and after a weekend at Death Valley National Park, I believe I am ready to solve them. Speculate no more, as aliens are playful creatures who, it turns out, live in the mountains around The Racetrack Playa and come out every full moon to move around rocks.
Why you might ask, would aliens do this when there are so many things they could see and do on earth? The answer is simple: to mess with tourists. It’s probably a higher calling on their planets. As the legend goes, no one has ever seen these rocks in Death Valley National Park move. Nonsense. As the hit film Men in Black taught us, aliens have the power to erase our minds. Heck, there’s a good chance I saw aliens the night I took this photo. I don’t remember seeing them, but I cannot say definitively that I did not see them....
