Em Parauapebas estivemos na Associação dos Moradores e Trabalhadores do Assentamento Palmares II, conhecemos o Instituto de Agroecologia Latino-Americano Amazônico, e encontramos com Sandra Santos, uma das representantes do grupo Mulheres de Barro. Também realizamos a oficina de Ninjismo no Centro de Desenvolvimento Cultural.
Rumo a Santarém passamos pela capital do Cacau: Medicilândia, onde conhecemos a Cacauway, fábrica de chocolates de alta qualidade feito pela cooperativa de pequenos agricultores da região.
Em Santarém visitamos a Associação IndÃgena do Baixo Tapajós e conversamos com Auricélia Arapiuns, uma importante liderança indÃgena da região. Também conhecemos Maria Ivete Bastos, presidente do Sindicato de Trabalhadores e Trabalhadoras Rurais de Santarém.

Immediately South of Excelsior in Southern San Francisco bordering Daly City, Amazon is another residential area, though it is slightly more affluent than Excelsior. It is known for John McLaren Park, the second largest city park in the city.

The Amazon is a magical place - I will never forget my trips to this beautiful location inhabited by some of the nicest and most welcoming people on the planet.
Amazon Lodge. Three nights and two days of peace and isolation. We wew able to swim in the water in front of the lodge.
This is Amazon, a 8 month old female Domestic Medium Hair mix. She has been at the shelter since she was a kitten, so these are updated photos! Amazon was part of a large litter. She was almost chosen to be someone's pet many times, but people kept leaving with her siblings. Then, before she knew it, newer and younger kittens moved onto the floor. As she grew she became less desirable to the people looking for babies, but the truth is that she still is a baby and still needs someone to scoop her up. She is sweet and affectionate. She is curious and playful. She will be your best friend! You just need to rescue her first!
I volunteered at PAWS Atlanta. I took photos of some of the dogs and cats that need homes. I thought I'd also remind people you can find great pets at shelters and in rescue groups. And of course, help control the pet population, please spay and neuter your pets!!
