Participei da Festividade de Nossa Senhora da Conceição na Comunidade Carmo do Macacoari, zona rural de Macapá, Amapá, Amazônia, Brasil. Foi em dezembro/2008, e, compartilho aqui com os amantes da cultura popular brasileira.

Por lá, aconteceu tudo como manda o figurino e a tradição herdada dos antepassados, continuada com as gerações atuais. Assim, para aqueles que participam da Festividade, é garantido muito marabaixo com o Grupo da Comunidade Torrão do Matapi (dança típica das comunidades afrodescendentes do Amapá); gengibirra (bebida típica das comunidades, feita com gengibre, cachaça e abacaxi); comida grátis; religiosidade e fé (novenas, terços, missa e procissão); corrida de cavalo; brincadeiras para criançada e bingo. E, o mais legal, tudo feito em comum unidade pela própria Comunidade.

É lindo de se ver, ouvir, sentir e curtir. Vale o prazer de estar lá todo ano!!!

On June 26, the Fitbit I ordered for Mike's birthday arrived. My hubby seemed almost as thrilled with the Amazon Minions box as the gift inside it! To promote the new Minions movie, Amazon was running a social media contest that encouraged customers to post their pics with the #MinionsBoxes hashtag for a chance to win a gift card. Alas, Mike wasn't a winner...but I love this photo of him imitating the wide-eyed enthusiasm of Minion Bob. :)
