The third Swooshable app is out, and this time we're hacking Amazon for cheap LEGO!
It all started when I couldn't find cheap LEGO where I live, so I turned to the 'net and Amazon. Fantastic amount of products, but really hard to find the good stuff - so I looked into their data and found some interesting things.
Like that you can browse any amount of discount in any category. And that they've a nice outlet category. And a more obscure hard-to-find category.
So I put it all together in the Amazon Dealfinder. I'd be grateful if you tried it and let me know what you think!

An afternoon fishing trip from the Heliconia reserve to a lagoon known for its piranhas: Heliconia is several hours by boat from Colombia's Leticia and in a side-flow off the Yavari river that marks the border between Peru and Brazil. I caught a sardine (rod&hook) but the two piranhas that I lifted out of the water escaped - my poor technique. My travel buddy B caught five piranhas.

In 2022, I returned to Colombia. The main purpose of this trip was to explore the Amazonian rainforest areas near Leticia and then on the Rio Negro. In 2007 I was in the Leticia area on a volunteering project and the 2022 trip gave me the chance to see more of the area.
As these are border areas, with the rivers travelled actually being the borders, I also visited / transitted through Brazil, Peru and Venezuela. I will create one master set / album for the entire six week trip, plus separate country albums to help viewers who are interested only in a specific country.
I also spent time in Bogota and in the Boyaca region. Overall intinerary: London - Leticia - Bogota - Villavincenzio - Rio Negro - Puerto Inirida - Bogota (incl Nemocon) - Villa de Leyva - Tunja - Bogota - London.

Detailed photos of the Disney Cinderella Fairy Godmother Doll by Mattel. I got it through Amazon for the MSRP of $24.99. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. This is doll is a great disappointment compared to the Royal Ball Cinderella doll by Mattel (which costs $39.99). The outfit is very poor compared to the $34.95 Disney Store version of the Fairy Godmother. The outfit has a very cheap look and feel, and the skirt is see through when strongly backlit. The overskirt are like two balloons, and are plasticized on the outside to make it shiny and iridescent. It looks like material for a raincoat. Her sleeves have unsewn cuffs that are cut and overlap. Her collar and tiara are made from solid white plastic translucent plastic. Her fairy wings are a dull pale yellow plastic that isn't iridescent like the Disney version. She is wearing gray shoes that look to be the laceup style rather than slip on. Her face doesn't look very much like Helena Bonham Carter, and has harder features than the promo photos, or those of the Disney Store version, or the Mattel Cinderella doll for that matter. She has the same type of body as the Mattel Cinderella, with stiff arms and legs. The two arms are posed differently. I was surprised that she is considerable shorter than the Disney Store version. She is only 10 3/4 inches tall, about 3/4 inches shorter than the 11 1/2 inch tall Disney Fairy Godmother. That makes sense since she is considerably shorter than Cinderella in the live action movie: Helena Bonham Carter is 5' 2'' tall, Lily James (Cinderella) is 5' 7''. Cate Blanchett (the stepmother Lady Tremaine) is 5' 9''. The Disney Store Fairy Godmother doll is better than the Mattel version in just about every way, except for price and the packaging.
