Hundreds of them.
You might be able to see that the main stream is flowing from the left toward far center, and the birds are staying at the place where the water is still(-ish).
One of the things I enjoy in Can Cun is the beautiful nature that is everywhere to enjoy, but this time of the year the weather was really warm and humid, and a I had to use a hat and sun block all the time.
The resort that I always go to is like a "hacienda" and has exactly what I like, good food, tropical plants and birds that think that own the place :)
This is a X'takay, (Social fly catcher) from the family of the Tyrannidae. Very friendly, and as curious of me as I was of him, he just posed and waited for me to finish. I added a filter this time to add some texture to the image.
Want to to know more about this bird, here is something interesting:

Photography is one of my passions, and nature photography is my favorite.
I have been in Explore for more that a hundred times, and it is an awesome experience to have your photos showcased in such a special way.
I thank your for coming today, for leaving a comment, and make a favorite of yours this photo, (if that is the case) thanks again!
The best part of this forum is the contacts and friends that I have made over the years, that have the same passion for this art that is called photography!
Martha.
Thank you for taking the time to view my photo,
maybe for your faves and comments, I appreciate that very much!

A spectacular summer day finds Union Pacific's massive articulated steam locomotive, so aptly called Big Boy, muscling into Millston with a full head of steam.

"A prophet doesn't have to have any brains. They are good to have, of course, for the ordinary exigencies of life, but they are no use in professional work. It is the restfulest vocation there is. When the spirit of prophecy comes upon you, you merely take your intellect and lay it off somewhere in a cool place for a rest, and unship your jaw and leave it alone; it will work itself. The result is prophecy."

Blueberries is very healthy all the time :-)
Here we enter the macro world with a bokeh capture of an amarican blueberry in Norway.
Wikipedia:
Blueberries (Vaccinium corymbosum) are perennial flowering plants with indigo-colored berries. They are classified in the section Cyanococcus within the genus Vaccinium. Vaccinium also includes cranberries, bilberries and grouseberries. Commercial "blueberries" are native to North America, and the "highbush" varieties were not introduced into Europe until the 1930s.
Blueberries are usually prostrate shrubs that can vary in size from 10 centimeters (3.9 in) to 4 meters (13 ft) in height. In the commercial production of blueberries, the smaller species are known as "lowbush blueberries" (synonymous with "wild"), while the larger species are known as "highbush blueberries".
The leaves can be either deciduous or evergreen, ovate to lanceolate, and 1–8 cm (0.39–3.15 in) long and 0.5–3.5 cm (0.20–1.38 in) broad. The flowers are bell-shaped, white, pale pink or red, sometimes tinged greenish. The fruit is a berry 5–16 millimeters (0.20–0.63 in) in diameter with a flared crown at the end; they are pale greenish at first, then reddish-purple, and finally dark purple when ripe. They are covered in a protective coating of powdery epicuticular wax, colloquially known as the "bloom". They have a sweet taste when mature, with variable acidity. Blueberry bushes typically bear fruit in the middle of the growing season: fruiting times are affected by local conditions such as altitude and latitude, so the peak of the crop, in the northern hemisphere, can vary from May to August.
Upper White House Ruin. Canyon de Chelly in the Navajo Nation contains the remains of many Anasazi (the Navajo word for Ancient) or Puebloan villages. Built into a sheer 500 foot sandstone cliff, the White House was constructed and occupied between 1060 A.D. and 1275 A.D. The White House takes its name from the white plaster used to coat the long back wall in the upper dwelling.
