Ama is a suburban town in Osaka-Kobe area. I took this with Konica C35EF3 and Fuji Acros.
With rather big curvature of the rail, the train vehicle makes a scream here.
Off the coast of Toul-Trez beach, a rock, or rather a large granite cube resting on a rocky outcrop, is revealed. This rock is nicknamed "Le Dé" (The Dice). It is accessible only at low tide and visible from the Renote Peninsula.
Since me and Cecily are OBSESSED with the movie "Practical Magic" it was only fitting to take a pic inspired by it!

10 years to the day,
A photo of great importance to me. Hanging on the living room wall as a constant reminder of how lucky I was to escape the mountain with my life.
Re-edit: Ama Dablam, photo taken from Dingboche

A while back I posted a colour version of this frame - sorry for repeating myself - but I just love this mountain and in bw wrinkles look so much better!
If you get to spend a bit of time in the high altitude Himalayas you soon start to appreciate the old Nepalese pilots adage that “we don't fly when there are clouds, because the clouds have rocks in them”. Peaking though the clouds here is the incredible spire of Ama Dablam at 6,812 metres (22,349 ft). Ama Dablam translates to "Mother's necklace" as the long ridges on each side are said to resemble the arms of a mother (ama) protecting her child, and the hanging glacier thought of as the dablam, the traditional double-pendant containing pictures of the gods, worn by Sherpa women. Love Life, Love Photography
Taken on our trekking adventure in Nepal on November 1, 2012. We had left at 01:20AM for a summit climb of Island Peak and at about 05:40AM while looking southwest the purple and pinks of the pre-dawn sky really highlighted Ama Dablam well....so I guess I just had to take a couple images on my Nikon D7000. Image taken at over 18,000'.

Redbull KTM Factory rider Chase Sexton (#4) battling it out for podium placing with former Team Honda HRC teammate, Hunter Lawrence (#96) in 450cc Moto 1 at the AMA Spring Creek Nationals motocross race in Millville, Minnesota on July 13, 2024.
Sexton eventually made it past Lawrence and secured a first place win in Moto 1 and doing the same again in Moto 2, as well.
Messier 34 (also known as M34, NGC 1039, or the Spiral Cluster) is a large and relatively near open cluster in Perseus. It was probably discovered by Giovanni Batista Hodierna before 1654 and included by Charles Messier in his catalog of comet-like objects in 1764. Messier described it as, "A cluster of small stars a little below the parallel of γ (Andromedae). In an ordinary telescope of 3 feet one can distinguish the stars.
