What a very lucky moment to see the full moon on the Christmas day morning view from Alameda. For the first time in 38 years, a full moon on Christmas Day, according to NASA. That is a truly special moon set :)

The Royal Canadian Air Force's 431 Air Demonstration Squadron, the Snowbirds, putting on a show above Alcatraz.

Although they were always on the list of participants, the Snowbirds saved San Francisco's marquee event by stepping up to headline the 2025 SF Fleet Air Show held from October 10th to the 12th after the traditional headliners, the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels, and all other U.S. military participants were forced to dropout out of the air show due to the federal shutdown. To most San Franciscans' surprise, the loss of the Blue Angels wasn't that big of deal since the Snowbirds put on an absolute show over the city.

Amateurs to professionals, kids to adults, beginners to advanced musicians, classical musicians to rock/pop musicians, pretty much anyone, come to line-up and play these pianos and thousands come out to listen in the variety of music being played in the gardens. Aside from the freeplay, scheduled programming from amazing musicians pepper the 10-days of the event.

It was a orange moon this morning over the city view from Alameda with a long lens shot. The timing wasn't perfect for the full moon set which it was bit early before the sunrise. I tried it with my best as with so lucky to see such clear sky. No clouds. no fog :). what can I ask .

Its called a full strawberry moon, and it happened to rise as I happened by, unexpectedly. In Europe it is called the rose moon, but here there is a brief sentence tying it to the Algonquin tribes of Canada. It reminds me of long summers paddling on lake Temagami in Ontario, Canada, where the Ojibway still trapped and hunted and still made their mark on the land. PS the EXIF has the wrong date (camera is a day ahead) Shot around 8:30 pm on 6/2/2015.

During the raining this morning which not a good idea to shoot it with rain instead to see this bridge tower in different perspective. I see there many bridge light reflection of these rain drops on the car window. I was inside my car to shoot it at pier 13 :). The lucky one this time that I like to shoot it in long time but not a chance to see it during the morning twilight time.

San Francisco is known for it's cool, temperate, and even foggy climate most of the year. And that also depends which of the micro-climates you are in within the city. But the city actually experiences its warmer, sunnier weather in September through October. So if you plan to visit and don't want to be miserable, visit in the late summer/early fall.

Happy 175th Birthday to the City of San Francisco!

And only Illuminate the Arts and Nu-Salt Laser can bring candles big enough to handle the "City of Awe" (hint: nine massive mobile space lasers mounted on the "AweMobile") which were aimed at San Francisco City Hall's dome in celebration of 175 years since its incorporation on April 15th, 1850.

The moments we yearn for, which are rare sights that happen right in our backyard. In this case, in the city nearby which we all love. Never get tired of the sight of the sou h tower of that red bridge peeping out and above dense low fog that blankets the entire city of San Francisco. On this particular morning was the first time that I got to see such dense fog that even the city skyline was not visible and the fog had covered all land and sea while looking toward the city from Hawk Hill. Me and Tarun Kottary got there nice and early and had the privilege of seeing this scene on a fine winter weekend. It's been a while since I put up an image, so I thought I'd put one up from the same morning as my previous image.

Super Bowl City

The beacon light was on tonight for the Super Bowl event. It was the first time to see they lit up the Transamerica building with red light :) The mini star was so bright that you can see the water reflection of it. It is part of the super bowl city night colors view. I will share more photos later. I did not make it to the fireworks last night. What a beautiful mini star of the bay!

I was very lucky to see such morning colors at Twin Peaks with out the fog in the summer time. This was was with clouds and beautiful pink/red colors. It took 3 shots panao with .9 + .6 soft edge filter for the effect. The result looks like a painting work IMO. My lucky snapshot of the day.

A street portrait from Tulip Day, or Flower Bulb Day, in San Francisco's Union Square last Saturday afternoon. The massively popular annual event attracts THOUSANDS of people, many who line up at sunrise, for the opportunity to pick their own tulips among a field of over 80,000 to take home.

Thank you for everyone who picked me out of the crowd for a quick portrait with your tulip haul! I am absolutely honored to help everyone capture memories from this special day! ❤️

A different perspective to see the beautiful San Francisco bay with that bridge. I did use the light painting for the foreground rocks in front of me when I took this long exposure shot. The classic view of the one of the most popular Lombard Street night view and the cable car. I was so lucky to see the cable car that stayed on Hyde street during the exposure time with these cars drove down. It has bit challenge to shoot it with the long lens with long exposure. Had an epic night flying (heli not drone) over San Francisco tonight. It’s honestly been years since I have. Finally getting some aerials of all these new skyscrapers that sprouted up since my last flight years ago.
