Violets are always a joy to photograph and for me they all look like little smiling “faces”. Few viola flowers were emerging in the ornamental basket next to the pond in the Botanical gardens. A blurred silhouette in the background is the Temple of Minerva, a replica of the Temple built in 1924 at Wembley for the British Empire Exhibition, and then rebuilt in the Botanical gardens two years after. As a rule, dogs have very good hearing or sight or both, I've had many dogs in my long life and one of them, a Border Collie called Meg, had the most amazing sight and hearing, nothing escaped her awareness. However, I think even Meg would have met her match with my daughter's Husky, Ribaïka.
