These are 3 views of the same chipmunk as we considered each other. It chirped a few times, looked around some, and then ran to a spot equally close to me but out of my sight. Might have been home. I include several views because when I looked at the photos I was surprised to see the different coloration on the sides of the face, being much darker on its left side. Wonder what that is about.
It hadn't been till two days earlier that I had gotten close to one of these chipmunks, so I was surprised and tickled to repeat that.

The Briol Main House is located in the Isarco Valley in Barbiano - Tre Chiese at 1'310 m above sea level. A jump into an ice-cold pool is not for everyone, but it certainly becomes a passion for those, who are in the search of such an unspoilt piece of earth. The building was planned by the artist Hubert Lanzinger in 1928 and it is one of the very rare testimonies of the Bauhaus building style in the Alps. Created from stone and wood with a flat roof. Columns, immense windows for a house in the middle of the mountains without heating and with Spartan furnishing.

No me hagas subir alto
que no sé llegar hasta el cielo,
que luego tú me encierras
y no puedo pisar el suelo.
A veces cuando subimos
no sabemos dónde vamos,
subimos y más subimos
y nos damos el trompazo.
Nunca se debe alcanzar
esa altura superior
que no sabes dominar.
Mejor es saber estar
en esa tierra de todos
donde los pasos que das
llevan la impronta de libres
y sabes a dónde van.

Eighty Mac Attack: four SD80MACs, the 7215-7210-7204-7208, stop to check their brakes at AR Tower in Gallitzin, before descending down The Slide with a loaded eastbound coal train on 25 October 2008. Trailing unit 7208 is the last 80MAC in Conrail blue, and is taking its final trip down the mountain that way, soon to be set out at Juniata Shops for repainting into NS black.
On a crisp 26 October 2008 morning, eastbound grain extra 44T curves through Lilly on the West Slope ascent with a nice surprise up front in the form of SD50 No. 5401 and C40-8W No. 8335, two of the last few Conrail painted units remaining at that time.
I was a bit in a hurry since the light was fading very quickly and i was quite far away from the car. Everything was already in my backpack and I promised to myself "no more photography for today".
Then i see this beautiful scene in front of me and i had to take everything out. Again.
I have no regrets 😜

A short local, probably heading back from the quarry at Mapleton, rolls through Pinecroft at the east end of the Altoona yards on a 23 August 2001 day featuring funky lighting caused by rain mixed with smoke from a nearby fire. Powering the move are two GP38-2 units still in full Conrail dress, with the lead unit carrying NS number 5287.
Conrail SW7 No. 9069's crew does some local switching under the 12th Street pedestrian bridge in Altoona, as an F40 powered Amtrak train passes by on 7 August 1986.

A lot of horses at the Cresson engine terminal on 15 June 2008: six SD80MACs, the 7203 and the 7206//7202/7214/7205/7209 all serviced and ready to head back to the mines at South Fork.
I got invited to take photos at the movie premiere of Aimuldir – The Soul of a Burkitshi, a heart warming story of a small girl who became an eagle huntress in Mongolia. The short film by director Oliver Klink and producer Jackson Nichols was screened at an art gallery in Palo Alto, California. Returning to the car after the event, Oliver and Jackson discussed the feedback they got on the film.
I processed a balanced and a photographic HDR photo from a RAW exposure, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.
