Officer Michelle "Cupcake" Brown was challenged by the Lego Gymnasts to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. She gets the ice water dumped over her head while Officer Joe "Coffee" looks on :-)

Frank was challenged so many times that he had multiple buckets of ice dumped over his head!
I don't want to overdo the Ice Bucket Challenge photos but I felt that Frank should have a photo since he is one of the most recognizable citizens in LEGO City. I promise to stop the Ice Bucket Challenge photos now :-)

I was nominated by my friend Beth Gatton to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. I pulled out my dainty little water pitcher for this photo. My daughter Rissa made sure I didn't cheat and brought the proper bucket and ice cubes! My husband also took a great video if I can ever get it to load!
Beth and Rebecca have some fun at Physical Therapy. They decided to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge while they were in the ice bath (icing their injuries). Burrr!

I have nevertheless done some research about this ALS disease first and I've found out that less than 30% of the money goes to research, and that more than 30% goes to public and professional education. Unfortunately, thousands of people suffer from this disease, among which, the famous scientist Stephen Hawking.
According to their website, ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Motor neurons reach from the brain to the spinal cord and from the spinal cord to the muscles throughout the body. The progressive degeneration of the motor neurons in ALS eventually leads to their death.
That is why I've decided to make a donation and do the video my way.

I was challenged to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and so I thought I’d make it my picture of the day. My wife insisted that I also do a video- I think because she wanted to hear me scream in agony, but I didn’t utter a peep! It was cold sure, but really the challenge is about donating and creating awareness for a disease that gets put at the bottom of the list. It was my pleasure to donate!

Year Six Of My 365 Project
I accepted Annie Parker's nomination to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
Pretty sure it's supposed to be more of a summer thing, but compared to having ALS (what we call Motor Neurone Disease in Australia) a little ice in Sydney winter is insignificant.
