Winding road at Stelvio Pass, one of the most famous passes in the Alps. Several motorcyclists navigate the tight switchbacks, framed by steep rock walls and rugged landscapes. The scene captures the allure of mountain motorcycling and the challenge of this iconic route.

From a ski trip taking 4 hrs. (approx. 7 km.) to ascend to the foot of Ranten Peak

due to fresh, deep snow that made me regret not using snowshoes.

A quite steep route, going uphill all the way, felt like my hips were to go off the hinges ;-p

It was all worth it.

Standing at the foot of that mountain was awesome, even if it`s only 1419 m., it`s majestic and beautiful. I decided not to hike to the top as in the south-west was pale blue sky and not favorable for photography.

- In Norway these days, the sun rises at 9 am and sets at 15 pm.

This means approx. 6 hrs. of daylight, but as this was shot at noon, the light can be incredible all day long in the mountains if you`ve got the right conditions.

Hallo zusammen

This shot is also from the Stellisee. But at the other end of this small mountain lake. This small lake was freezing cold (about 5°C), since it receives its water from a glacier behind. I stood for about 4 minutes in this lake to get this shot. I couldn't move, since it would have created waves, which would have destroyed the reflection in the lake.

After these 4 minutes my legs hurted, but with this shot i didn't care :)

And a huge thank you to all of you! About 20.000 views on my last 3 images. Now time to answer about 150 Comments. THANK YOU!
