1987 Ford Granada Scorpio
Apologies for the finger of the lens. It was a fast and discreet shot in traffic.
A nice surprise to see in Hackney on the way home from feeding a friend's cat, as you do. Clearly well cared for, I always loved the luxurious end of the Renault range, especialy this era 5/21/25. Slightly later the 19 as well.
Seen in Hackney, East London. Typical estate high-rise in the background.
Ford Cortina MK3, Two Door.
These used to be everywhere when I was a kid and are now worth stopping for a photograph.
In East London they were the motor of choice of the flick head soul boys and came complete with rearview mirror mounted furry dice...

Sadly at that time we had no idea that 2019 would be our last Moffat Rootes Weekend Road Run. Thanks to COVID our red Mini Clubman Estate had no outings in 2020 and only one local outing in 2021. Hopefully the Moffat Rootes Weekend will happen again in 2022. Sadly we won't be able to attend.
An odd thing to spot in Durban, cannot be many of these in this part of the world. Seen on Durban beechfront outside one of the many highrise residences that alternate with hotels here.
While out with me taking photos today, the Capt'n saw this big yellow duck, and I just couldn't hold him back... Now they are the best of friends, as this photo proves.
Please view in full size to see the great smile on his cute little beak.
The Citroen 2CV (this is a very pimped and bright yellow version) is known in France and Germany as the "canard" or "Ente", both of which translate to "duck" hence the instant attraction to the Capt'n.
I often see this wee duo together in one of London's leafiest villages, the big brash Volvo with the cheeky wee Fiat nipping at its bumper. Not a bad pair to own, I suppose.
Page is a city in Coconino County, Arizona, United States, near the Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell. Unlike other cities in the area, Page was founded in 1957 as a housing community for workers and their families during the construction of nearby Glen Canyon Dam on the Colorado River. In 1997, Antelope Canyon was discovered on Navajo land adjacent to Page. This natural slot canyon, formed by erosion, has created a steady increase in tourism for Page, as word spread of the beauty of the canyon.

Great '80s wheel design here. Apparently would have had a diamond-cut finish when new, with dark grey inserts, but that would have cost an awful lot to refurbish so they received this sympathetic treatment instead. I think it works just fine - who would know?!
A car in the purest of white taking the groom to his bride… caressed by the raindrops… embellished with flowers… moment that is pinkest of them… a ride that crosses over into to this new realm of life…
