Train #263 sits in the siding on the west side of Butte waiting for its counterpart at the end of the day. Track in the foreground is the BA&P's mainline.
Earlier in the day, failed E73 was picked up at Three Forks along with the Gallatin Valley branch power 635. Both are headed for Deer Lodge. E73 to be added to the growing deadline and 635 for servicing.
Fifteen days to the end of electrification.

Steering wheel on a car the same age as the HWM from 1953 . This is the wheel on an Austin Healy 100 4 , this car is the same era as the Jaguar . It might not be any where near as fast as the HWM but I can assure you its one sweet period sports car , in best English tradition in every possible way , lots of fun and style with the roof down . .

Panaracer 27.5" x 3.5" tires, mounted onto a 6-year old Velocity Blunt wheelset. I only had 1 bike that the wheelset and tire combo would fit into: a Performance Bikes 29" alloy frame with a Karate Monkey fork.
My plan is to build up a B+ wheelset with wider rims, then move the tires onto that wheelset and put it into my wife's fat bike... or my Vertigo when she isn't using it :)
The Alloy Angler is a traditional salvage electromagnet, but in a treaded tripod configuration. It is able to mount uneven terrain to get its magnet into hard to reach places. Its maximum lift load is 4500 lbs (6 wide minifig scale vehicle).
The Angler has proved indispensable in salvaging early 21st century debris and technology.
Got lucky on my way to work Wednesday morning and caught Georgia Northeastern GP38 #9706 bringing the Universal Alloy load south. Universal Alloy is located in Canton and produces airplane parts which GNRR has a dedicated local to serve.
