The Kivijärvi river has got bacteria and then the water becomes green. It is also called blue-green algae.

Collected from Cushman Blowing Cave from the creek at "Large Brown Rock" in the main chamber.
On the BG-11 plate close-up, this is the green colony that extends around the edge of the plate.
Many non-pigmented, motile bacteria are present, interspersed with the algae.

The hand isn't photoshopped in... I just realized that the shadow cast by the hanging muck might look like I put the hand in.
We finally opened the basement window covers. Ewwwwwww... lots of algae.
* Bleached the window well
* Sealed cracks with portland cement leak blocker, and painted with basement leak blocker.
* The wooden window covers rotted apart. Rebuilt the window covers from wood: 2 x 4 and 2 x 6. Used new plastic, and reused metal edging.
* Rain was dripping through the air vents, and we instead bought a lot of RV air vent covers.
No more water!

Efke IR820 with 25a medium red filter and about a 2.5 minute exposure. Developed in Rodinal 1+50 for 10 minutes (drum).
