Das Netz wird in Bodennähe zwischen Stauden oder /Getreidehalmen gebaut. Die Netznabe wird mit einem dicht gewebten, weißen Gespinst überzogen. Die Sitzwarte befindet sich meist nahe dem oberen Rand des Netzes auf Pflanzenteilen in einem nach oben offenen, schüsselförmigen Gespinst. Auf trockenen Pflanzenteilen ist die Spinne dort sehr auffällig, sie wählt jedoch auch größere Blüten für die Anlage des Verstecks, wo sie weniger auffällt. Die Spinne lässt sich schon bei geringen Störungen sofort zu Boden fallen, um später an ihrem Sicherheitsfaden wieder ins Versteck zurückzuklettern.

Diese Skulptur stellt den Rhythmus, den Tanz und die Spannung zweier Menschen dar. Durch die Winkelung des Stahls erlebt im Laufe des Tages jede der beiden Figuren ihre Schattenseite, so wie im richtigen Leben. Die beiden Silhouetten reflektieren die für den Künstler charakteristische Formen-Sprache, die man auch aus seiner Malerei kennt.

King Alfred's Tower is a folly in Somerset, England, on the National Trust Stourhead Estate. The tower stands on Kingsettle Hill and is designated as a Grade I listed building. Henry Hoare II planned the tower in the 1760s to commemorate the end of the Seven Years' War against France and the accession of King George III. It stands near the site of Egbert's Stone, where it is believed that Alfred the Great, King of Wessex, rallied the Anglo-Saxons in 878 before the Battle of Edington against the Danish invaders. The tower was damaged by being struck by a plane in 1944 and restored in the 1980s. Taken with a 1981 Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera Supercolor Autofocus on Polaroid (TIP) film.
