I've lived in Albany for 13 years, about 2 miles from the capitol, and I only just went there for the first time today. Better late than never!
The West Staircase, known by its nickname the "Million Dollar Staircase" is one of the architectural highlights of the building. I will definitely be going back to shoot it from some more angles, since I only had 45 minutes to do so this time (city parking do be like that sometimes).
The Senate Staircase isn't far from the more famous West Staircase, and is worth a good look as well. It reminded me of some of the architecture I saw in Portugal for some reason, but that may be because at the very top of this staircase is some very beautiful tile.
I took this photo aiming for the style of Boluddha, who is a fantastic photographer on instagram that everyone should follow!

2015 Friehofer's Run for Women 5K - Albany, NY
Cynthia Limo, Buze Diriba and Emily Chebet compete in the 2015 Friehofer's Run for Women 5K. The three placed 2nd, 3rd and 1st, respectively.
Construction of St. Peter's Episcopal Church was begun in 1859. The current church replaced two earlier edifices, the first of which was constructed in 1714.
