Some dolls just don't want to be finished !!! They just like to stay bits and pieces floating over tables and shelves. Limbs and torsos, unattached, uncommitted, ever changing in all their glorious unfulfilled potentialβ¦.
- "Let me at least fix your eye, so you can look more human"β¦
- "but I'm not human"β¦
- "OKβ¦ so let me make you a bit more symmetrical?"β¦
- "no thanks, symmetry is boring!!!"β¦
Oh well, I guess this one will take some more time......
Oooh spooky, my demon-moth is definitely in progress. Of course I changed the eyes few seconds after I took this picture, just cause I'm a change freak, no other logical reason for it. Now I have to fix it and move on to finishing the legs and arms.
(As you can see on the left corner, my little girl also got the #moth feverβ¦)
My lovely sister sent me some air dry clay, something to help pass the time through lockdown. This was my first attempt, looking forward to painting it. Canβt decide wether or not to add some feet π€
back to open mouth and teeth she initially had, somehow it didn't work first, and now it doesβ¦
I also made the eyes smaller; I didn't like the cartoonish look she had beforeβ¦
(still have some work to do on her face)...
The colors are with Photoshop, I am checking color possibilities for herβ¦not sure yet...

Update on my natural fabric-dye progress...this is the finished dry version, a bit lighter than I wanted initially, but such a beautiful skin shade that I just gonna leave it as it is....the great thing about it is that the shade is not too even, subtle color differences, more like a natural skin would look...
dolls head is in progress as well...
One night about 2 weeks ago I woke up and couldn't fell asleep untill sunrise... the result was the new series I call "LOST SISTERS" - little girls, who had been lost... These dollies are going to be the opposite of "ODD PRINCESS DOLLS"... Now I work on three dolls (Masha, Dasha and Sasha), and they will be ready rather soon.
In this picture Masha and Dasha waiting for their outfits, while Sasha puts her dress on...
Work in progress.
P.S. I enjoy making these adorable girls)))
autumn blues? nah, not me, November is definitely my favorite month of the year, and nature's most beautiful colors... so feeling inspired, and while my mothdemon is drying it's paint, I'm sneaking to the next thing (as if I don't have enough half-started blank heads already).......
When we found out my mum has terminal cancer we all felt out of control. I have taken the control back. I have made a house and I have made a family. Nobody leaves the house because Swinging John can't leave it. Everyone is happy. No one will die.

Ok Finished and probabley not what you were expecting as it wasnt what i expected when i started this !! I loved Chris's idea of using material , but that got me to thinking about stamping, so i made the tiles from air dry clay...i had sooo much fun, sort of got carried away , and now this is way more 'busy' than i first intended.I quite like the intensity of it, reflect how intense Love is :)
Thanks to Helen too for the 'button oak 'comment :)
