Airbrushed metallic and sparkle colors on a silver flakes basis. Finished with small "free-flames" in silver leaf.
Airbrushed Susan B Anthony that I had done at Rainbow Airbrush in Buffalo, NY. It's a t-shirt that I stretched onto a canvas.
Airbrushed using a blend of grey/ kommando khaki (insert appropriate new colour here) followed by white. Then washed down with muddy colours and pigments. Finished off with Ice blue for lighting and a drybrushing of boltgun metal on the mechanical parts.
I like this one because its big n stompy but i prefer the other one because it's stompy n big.

Durga puja (Bengali:দূর্গা পূজা,),‘Worship of Durga’), also referred to as Durgotsava.
Durga Puja festival marks the victory of Goddess Durga over the evil buffalo demon Mahishasura.Durga Puja is widely celebrated in the Indian states of Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, Tripura and West Bengal.
Somewhere inside these complex edifices is a stage on which Durga reigns, standing on her lion mount, wielding ten weapons in her ten hands. This is the religious center of the festivities
The word pandal means a temporary structure, made of bamboo and cloth, which is used as a temporary temple for the purpose of the puja.
Creation of the idols
The entire process of creation of the idols (murti) from the collection of clay to the ornamentation is a holy process,
supervised by rites and other rituals.
On the Hindu date of Akshaya Tritiya when the Ratha Yatra is held,
clay for the idols is collected from the banks of a river, preferably the Ganges (Hooghly in Calcutta/Kolkata).
There is age-old custom of collecting a handful of soil (punya mati) from the nishiddho pallis of Calcutta,
literally ‘forbidden territories’, where sex workers live, and adding it to the clay mixture which goes into the making
of the Durga idol.After the required rites, the clay is transported from which the idols are fashioned.
An important event is 'Chakkhu Daan', literally donation of the eyes.
Starting with Devi Durga, the eyes of the idols are painted on Mahalaya or the first day of the Pujas.
Before painting on the eyes, the artisans fast for a day and eat only vegetarian food.
Goddess Durga Rides a Lion and vengeance to kill a demon residing in city of Mysore ,named after Mahishasur,
the very demon which was slain by the Goddess.The original Indian name was Mahishur. Along with these central statues, Idols are also made of other Gods and Goddesses.
As it also includes the worship of Shiva, who is Durga's consort (Durga is an aspect of Goddess Parvati),
in addition to Lakshmi, Saraswati with Ganesha and Kartikeya, who are considered to be Durga's children are crafted.
Worship of mother nature is also done, through nine types of plant (called "Kala Bou"),
including a plantain (banana) tree, which represent nine divine forms of Goddess Durga.

the eldest's turn this time, this one has been very airbrushed at her request, not something i would normally do but she was amazed at how a five minute job can make such a difference, if only more teens saw the before and after of mag shoots they might realise that most of it is photoshop!
Detta är en bild på skådespelerskan Keira Knightley. Den fotades för en poster för filmen King Arthur (2004) Den åt vänster är originalet och den åt höger är den retuscherade slutbilden. Som blev en officiell poster för filmen. Som de flesta bilder, så är den ändrad I färg och kontrast. Men här är även ansiktet ändrat. Uttrycket är annorlunda, hon kisar mer med ögonen och henner kindben är även mer framhävda. Men det mest talade om här är hennes bröst. Keira är en extremt small kvinna och har därför inte så stora former. Men här har de förstorat hennes bröst så det ska se ut som hon har synbart större. Även hennes mag/ryggparti har smalnats ner.

Här är en video från när Keira medverkade i Ellen Degeneres talkshow. Där de diskuterar det faktum att hennes bröststorlek alltid blir större I media. Hon säger även att hon är nöjd med sin storlek, ändå ändå retuscherar de henne. Då kan man ju undra. Om hon är nöjd med hur hon ser ut, varför kan inte media vara det?
Syftet med denna bilden är oklart. Jag tror att bilden har blivit retuscherad efter vad idealen på kvinnor ligger på I dagens samhälle. De ska vara smala som pinnar med fortfarande ha kvinnliga former. Varenda kvinna vi ser I tidningar är retucherade till max. De ser inte ut så. Ändå tror vi att det är så vi ska se ut. En annan sak jag tycker är intressant är, att under hela filmen är hon sig själv. Inget retuscherat. Alla som ser filmen kommer se hur hon ser ut. Så varför ändra endast posten? För att locka folk att se filmen? Gör verkligen storleken på brösten sådan skillnad? Vill mer människor se filmen om de ser att hon har bröst? Om det nu är så att några går på filmen på grund av att de tycker hon är snygg, blir de inte besvikna när de väl ser filmen och ser att det endast var fejk? Eftersom hon själv säger I youtube-videon att hon irriterar sig på hur media ofta försöker få hennes bröst att se större ut, är det inte fel av de att göra det ändå? Sedan vet jag inte om hon var med på detta när de tog just denna bild. eller om de helt enkelt gjorde det ändå. Är det inte moraliskt fel att ändra en persons utseende på en bild utan att personen I fråga gett ett godkännande?
På bilden siktar Keira en pil snett förbi kameran. Hennes blick är siktad rakt framåt med intensitet I ögonen. Med pilen nästan siktat mot åskådaren känns bilden lite hotande. Hela hennes kroppspråk ger en hotande känsla. Hon är även i hyffsad närbild vilket ökar känslan. Hon har väldigt lite kläder på sig. Det ska dessutom se ut som att hon är i strid. Skulle jag varit I strid hade jag nog velat ha lite mer kläder på mig. Om inte för värme och skydd. Killarna har rustningar, och tjejen får ett litet flätat “klädesplagg” som täcker brösten. Varför ska alltid tjejer framstå som ett sexobjekt? Hon är mitt I en strid och kan dö när som helst, men hon måste ju se sexig ut! Är det så de tänker?
Jag tror tjejer har mycket mer press på sig, utseendemässigt, än vad killar har. Dock är det svårt för mig att säga eftersom jag själv är tjej och har svårt att sätta mig in i hur killarna har det. På nått sätt så räcker inte prestation. Utseendet spelar en otroligt stor roll. Som Keira Knightly. En otroligt begåvad skådespelerska. Hon har gjort ett flertal stora filmer. De skulle inte anställt henne för denna roll om hon inte hade talang. Ändå räcker inte det. De måste ändå ändra hennes utseende för posten som ska göra reklam för filmen. Trots hennes talang, spelar utseendet en större roll. Har vi inte kommit längre än så? Det är snart 2014 och ändå sitter vi fast I att det kvinnor duger mest till är deras utseende. Det är ändå ganska sorgligt. Vi ska leva upp till ett ideal som inte ens finns.
Om jag skulle gjort om bilden så hade jag behållt henne naturlig. Som jag skrev förut, varför ändra henne på en bild när man ser hur hon se rut I filmen? Det tycker jag känns otroligt onödigt. Att ändra färg, skärpa och liknande är acceptabelt för en snygg och professionell bild. Man behöver inte dra det så långt att förstora hennes bröst. Om jag tyckte det var viktigt med just det hade jag tagit en annan skådespelerska. Men nu är det inte det som spelar roll, utan det är hur bra hon är för rollen. Förutom deras onödiga retuschering har de gjort en bra bild. Hennes kroppsspråk är bra och passar bra in på filmen. Man ser intensiteten I ögonen och hotet ifrån pilbågen.
Jag gick in på pressombudsmannens sida, po.se, och under “Etiska regler för press, TV och radio” stod detta: 12. “Bildmontage, retuschering på elektronisk väg eller bildtext får ej utformas så att det vilseleder eller lurar läsaren. Ange alltid i direkt anslutning till bilden om den är förändrad genom montage eller retusch. Detta gäller även vid arkivering.”
Alltså har de brutit mot lagen. De lurar genom att ändra hennes utseende. De får folk att tro att hon ser ut på ett sätt när hon tydligt ser ut på ett annat. Dock är detta de svenska reglerna. Filmen förhåller sig antagligen till de amerikanska reglerna då det är en amerikansk produktion. Om det nu hade varit en svensk bild, hade den då blivit fälld?
