Since 1824, Świnoujście has been a seaside resort with a healing sea climate. After medicinal brine springs were discovered in the town's area in 1897, they were used for spa treatments, as were the existing medicinal mud deposits. The picture shows the graduation towers at one end of the promenade, near which the air is particularly salty and beneficial for respiratory problems.
Seit 1824 ist Świnoujście ein Seebad mit heilsamem Seeklima. Nachdem 1897 im Gebiet der Stadt Heilsolequellen entdeckt wurden, nutzte man diese ebenso für Kuren wie die vorhandenen Heilschlammablagerungen. Hier im Bild sind die Gradierungstürme an einem Ende der Promenade zu sehen, in deren Nähe die Luft besonders salzhaltig und bei Atemwegsprojekten heilsam ist.

Note: I collaborate with helicopter pilots to perform my aerial photography over different cities. We remove the door on the passenger side, and I "hang out" even though I'm safely harnessed. I'm not in the drone business yet, even though I've been informed many times that drones are now "en vogue" for aerials, which is fine and may work for many people. The fact that drones are so trendy, even without having an official license to operate them, is part of the reason I prefer to work with pilots and completely own both the professional and personal experience of hovering above magnificent cities with my camera.

This is one of my favorite Snail Kite poses, picking the snail from its shell while airborne. It usually takes place at either too far a distance or at a bad angle to the camera, as the kite is generally going away from where the snail was caught to a favorite tree or stand to have its snack. I’ve never seen them fully consume the snail in the air. Sometimes they are just transferring the snail from talon to beak, but I think in this case the intent was to extract the snail. Actually it is the reflection, in late afternoon, of a pendant lamp on the window's glass... The impression of a blurred image on either size of the lamp is actually a deformation by the glass. This can be verified by closer look, as the lines that form the skeleton run all around the paper lamp drawing the real size of it!

En fait, c’est le reflet, en fin d’après-midi, d’une lampe à suspension sur la vitre de la fenêtre ... L’impression d’une image floue sur l’un ou l’autre coté de la lampe est en réalité une déformation par la vitre. Cela peut être vérifié en regardant de plus près, car les lignes qui forment le squelette tout autour de la lampe en papier en dessinent la taille réelle!
This American White Pelican was preparing for a nap after a busy day of directing traffic on Horsepen Bayou. Just a White Pelican with some light bouncing around on the feathers on the breast. I did post a shot of him earlier after which, he turned his head over his back in true Pelican fashion and went to sleep.
