Nice changes of pace this week. Blaire Underwood definitely added some excitement to the show and the man is captivating to watch, he's got presence.

Getting some insight into Skye, specifically some psychological insight, was very needed this week. These sessions she's having with Garner are fascinating. I appreciate the fact that they are letting her absorb these new abilities she has.

I don't like these villains however, they're too silly for me, just not threatening enough. Skye's father has just kind of become a comedic joke at this point, which I guess if they want us to laugh at him, it works. But if they want me to take him seriously, I just can't, this group of baddie's he's brought together feels like something I would see on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

May and Garner definitely have some good on screen chemistry, it was nice to actually see her smile and hear her laugh.

The dude with the unhinged jaw and dangerous vocal chords was a real nice touch, and a good use of special effects.

I'm hoping Mack and Bobbi are hiding something that has something to do with the Avengers. I don't think they're bad guys, I'm hoping they're not. I'm still upset Bobbi/Mockingbird doesn't use a bow and arrow, or have an accent. I don't even remember if she's been called Mockingbird yet? This "real shield" stuff...I'm just hoping the reveal isn't dumb. Perhaps there's information that I missed, that explains what this organization could possibly be? Sword? Hawkeye?! It's gotta be something involving Tony Stark and Maria Hill. One of them. I don't know. So many choices.

The fight in the football field was strange. They were trying to film it in an epic way, in terms of its directorial style, but it wasn't working for me it didn't feel epic. Just felt like any regular brawl they would encounter in an alley way, because the characters involved in the fight just weren't that threatening, or interesting. But seeing Skye finally be able to exhibit some control over her powers...only for her to faint, was a bit underwhelming, but still interesting.

Anyway, those are my random thoughts on the latest episode. This second season is better than the first season. Just wish it was better written, there's still some dialogue that makes me cringe a little bit. Anyway. Later.
