Alien movie build: Hey everyone I’m back with a long awaited moc! I recently watched the new Alien movie, Alien Romulus and I figured I’d take a crack at an alien build! This is much different than my normal builds but I figured I would sink my teeth into something new! This build depicts some creativity of Ripley taking on an Alien with a flamethrower! With this build I really wanna to get the aesthic down and use some references luckily for me I had my good friend @bricksia supply me with some interior designs from the game Alien Isolation! As well as my own perusing of the internet! For the alien design I used a mix of @hypolite_bricks and some other designs for the alien as well as inspiration from his much more superior build! As well the Ripley figure too with some creative liberties of course haha! I few of the things that I wanted to tackle for this build was door as well as how the ceiling was gonna be done! Luckily for me I had a bunch of the friends boat molds and it works perfectly for the build!Using the boats upside using some stud reversal to get it right as well as some structural pipes to keep the ceiling from buckling and bending! In terms of the door it took me about 6-7 interations to get it right, but with that being said it’s much smaller than this but I figured I would make it the height of the alien so it can have access to the door! Also too tried to make it as accurate as possible with the shaping! Anyway long story short it was a lot of fun trying to get this build right from the angles to the ,structural support, to the door as well as the fig placement and other techniques I decided to try too! Let me know what you think of the overall build, photography and anything else! As always enjoy this build and I’ll see you guys soon!

Back in 1935, Mr Louis Renault took on a professional trip to Berlin Motor Show. There, he was reportedly enthralled by the lines of the Opel Olympia. Two years later, Renault introduced the Juvaquatre 2-saloon/sedan ....which aesthically borrowed quite a few things among other the position of the headlights and the contour of the front side windows from the Olympia

Enrique Castrejon: Artist Statement
I linearly dissect and cut appropriated images found in magazines, newspapers, art catalogs and online sources into smaller identifiable geometric shapes. I investigate and describe what I see through measurements. I transform this selected graphic imagery into quantified drawings mapped by measuring distances between points (x inches), calculating the varied angle degrees created within the shapes (360˚-A˚= B˚), and/or written data related to the image of each shape. I write measurements or other definable data or units along the side of the shapes to question and describe what I see. These precise measurements abstract the image interfering and altering its fixed meaning, creating other possible interpretations through this linear dissection. In creating these fragmented and measured drawings from the parts of the whole, I challenge our perceptions of what is real, forcing us to think critically about information that is constantly bombarding our everyday lives through images selected in directed advertisements, pop-culture sources, editorials and news stories found in printed and online media.
Enrique Castrejon lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. Castrejon’s work is also traveling nationally in a group exhibition called Out of Rubble, organized and curated by Susanne Slavick, that looks at how artists have “reacted to the wake of war – its realities and representations.” Castrejon was also a featured artist and panelist on a KPCC 89.3 radio program, Air Talk with Larry Mantel on the topic of Chicano Art & Pacific Standard Time exhibit with participating artists and panelists Gronk, Patissi Valdez and Sonia Romero.

My thanks to Egbert Dees who devised this instrument panel design for his BJ 25.5. I visited Egbert's boat at the Woodenboat show in Georgetown, SC and very much liked the aesthics of his panel design.
I purchased a Garmin chart plotter thus have a benchmark to fabricate a hood to house a chart plotter. I need to consider screen visibility whether seated or standing, and nighttime reflection off the windshield.
I continue to ponder what size steering wheel to use.

The BMW R90S hit the motorcycling world in 1973 with all the subtlety of a Panzer assault. In one bold stroke, the BMW served notice that its motorcycles would no longer be associated with just comfortable touring machines. The cafe-faired R90S was an entry into the ranks of the first superbikes. Indeed, the first U.S. AMA Superbike Championship was won by Reg Pridmore riding an R90S in 1976. Between 1973 and 1976, the R90S was arguably the best all around sportbike being produced. The R90S combined speed, agility and comfort into one of the more memorable aesthic packages of the day.
so i have brought the data sets to life i decided to do 3 data sets to focus more on the overall project. looking ahead i think im going to add some more movement and aesthics. then try make it a bit easier to figure out whats bigger male or female
this Buddha at Yamadera has been rubbed so much that it is showing the worst for wear. Many many years of human hands on wood. The climb to the top of Yamadera on a rainy day at the peak of cherry blossom season is sure to produce a few aesthic orgasms unless you are devoid of eyes to see.
When I was in kindergarten, I had probably a 150 Fleer Ultra cards (a lot of Detlef Schrempf), and I used to carry them around all the time, thus the wear and tear on this card. At some point, I had the Jordan of this set, and still have the John Starks, but the design's sort of hot, and the back of the card is also aesthically attractive.
“3 US Dead in Afghanistan Blast”
“UN Mission split over Afghan poll”
“Senate struggles with Afghanistan”
“U.S. support for Afghan war at all-time low”
Media is sad. Media is disheartening. All we ever hear are the negative headlines. It makes one think “what the hell are we doing over there that’s positive?” Besides all the security/political activity, what is the world really doing in Afghanistan? This is where Amin interjects. He knows, he's an Afghan-American True to the cabbie-stereotype of “saying what’s on their mind,” my passionate taxi-driver tells me more of the positive initiatives in his motherland.
He tells me about the roads built that cut a nine hour drive to three. It also used to be that some of the more rural population would ride a mule for a whole day to a clinic. For many, this is not the case anymore. Clinics have now been built in their very villages. That one day journey has been cut to nothing. To top it off, qualified local medical personnel run the show.
He goes on to tell me about improvements to his country’s infrastructure. After hearing this I wonder if the media will ever publish:
“Germans provide needed street lights in Kabul”
“Australians connect Afghan families with telephone services”
“Chinese build internet infrastructure”
“US security stabilizes”
Of course this international involvment is overwhelming, but Amin is grateful for all the improvements it provides for his motherland.
*Aesthically, there was nothing that attracted me to a portrait. But, this project is also about the social element, of which Amin had warming thoughts to share. After hearing the passion in his words, I was compelled to photograph him.*

This is day three of construction. The retaining walls and two steps have been completed. The interlock is in the process of being laid. In this shot, you can see how a low retaining wall was constructed in a curve around the caragana standard, incorporating the small tree into the design and making it a focal point. The soil level around it will be raised slightly. This is not only an aesthic part of the design, but functional as well. In the winter, snow can be pushed into the garden through between the two sections of retaining wall.
