Mid-April in non-drought years these hills would normally be bright green.

We stayed at Fairbanks for two nights, and both of them were very cloudy and foggy. This shot was taken on the morning when we were about to leave Fairbanks. The sky became much clearer. You can see the Aurora Lodge in the picture.

If you look close you can see us on the very top of the mountain!
