HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE !

- I wonder what for -

NR84, G530 and NR87 wind through Towrang as 2BM4 to Melbourne.

NR84 was recently outshopped with an advertisement for rail freight on the side, the first of its kind in Australia. Here's hoping more locomotives receive a similar treatment.

Its sad to see, but what used to be the main drag in Dubois, ID briefly comes to life as a delayed SBPC runs South. A abnormally high March snowpack in conjunction with a lightly used mainline didn't bode well for Union Pacific, as this train derailed two days earlier on the pass from ID into MT. A plow extra and a dogcatch crew out of Pocatello made this rare in light run possible.

I wish I could say shots like this are commonplace, but this is beyond normal. Knowing the right people and trying to make sense of "what would the railroad do" are difficult, but worth the effort on the Montana Sub.

Part of the upper piece was broken, most probably because of behaviors like those caught in one of the pictures below.

Another fake ad from the world of 2001 A Space Odyssey. Funny how Kubrick chose companies for his film based on the idea that they would all still exist in the year 2001.

This is what happens when the suits get their noses in the "street art" trough.

Caught this before any product name or logo was added. Fair play to High Rise Murals that painted it.

As Father Ted would say, "Down with this sort of thing".
