The tale of a wet adventure (sadly, not the kind you're thinking...get your mind out of the gutter!!)
Phileas Fogg is the protagonist in the 1872 Jules Verne novel Around the World in Eighty Days. Inspirations for the character were the American entrepreneur George Francis Train and American writer and adventurer William Perry Fogg. He is portrayed here, by a friend, Mark Edwards in the opening night performance at Much Hadham Drama Group.

It's nice to have a photo of Critter and I together in the canoe. Living alone it is difficult to get photos of me and my fur kids, other than selfies. So I asked a friend to take a few of my boy and I together.
*Thank you Dorothy for the pic ;)
I think it's time Critter and I took the canoe out of the dam and ventured into one of our local rivers.
Here they all are! I never thought I'd see them so complete (well, except for the fact that Verity is still without a body, lol!). There are many projects now that have filled my list.... make Kale and his brother wigs.... and add on to the diorama, it's suddenly too small for them all! Haha!

This serene lake has a story to tell. I’ve been here before, but my last visit was a race against time—just an hour between moonset and sunrise to capture a quick panorama.
This time, I aimed for something more ambitious: a larger panorama showcasing the lake's beauty. Unfortunately, the session was cut short by some unexpected late-night chaos (think burning rubber, booze, and dodgy behavior). Not exactly the vibes you'd hope for in a quiet spot like this. 😅
The Drakesbrook Weir plays a vital role in the area, collecting overflow from Waroona Dam for farmers to use for livestock and crops. By day, it’s a popular picnic and swimming spot, but at night, it’s usually still and empty—well, most of the time.
This 12-panel panorama (crafted from 36 images, 24 of them stacked) captures the lake’s reflections as the summer Milky Way rises above. High clouds and city light pollution softened the northern sky, but the magic of the view still shines through. ✨

Testing out the capabilities of a new Canon 24mm lens. Soft focus filter used to bring out the brighter stars and their colour. Result is from a single tracked exposure due to mist / dew issues.

Johnny Thunder is back! After the disappearance of the Re-Gou Ruby strange things have been happening in the desert lands of Egypt, unexplainable disappearances and odd sightings in the outskirts of Cairo and the Valley of the Kings. The dead have been seen wandering, and some even claim to have seen a dark figure with golden jewelry and the head of a jackal. Johnny Thunder and his team of Adventurers have returned to Egypt to investigate the situation, and search for a relic believed to have been lost for thousands of years, the staff of the protector of tombs, Anubis. And as you know, wherever Johnny is, trouble always follows..
Hey everyone! I’ve finally got a new MOC to show you, and finally I’ve been able to build something from one of my favourite original LEGO themes, Adventurers. I’ve always liked the Egypt-/Desert-line even though I only ever owned Orient Expedition sets, so I thought it would be fun to revisit Egypt. I’m gonna be trying to continue the story I’ve started with this MOC with more parts coming later this year, featuring lots of classic vehicles and cool desert locations. After about a year with close to no motivation for building, I’m very excited that I feel a strong interest to build again. As always I’d appreciate any feedback on my MOC. Hope you like it!

Welcome to Planet Frost
If you look to the left of the tour rover, you will catch a glimpse of a small herd of Schnoofles, and one of our celebrity residents, the famed adventurer Kepler Van Allen. The once self-described lone wolf has settled into a comfortable "retirement" here on Planet Frost.
Remakri of Thanchi, nestled in the heart of Bandarban in Chittagong, is a heaven of natural beauty. Surrounded by lush green hills, pristine rivers, and dense forests, it offers breathtaking views of untouched landscapes. The Sangu River winds gracefully through the region, providing a tranquil escape for adventurers and nature lovers alike. Thanchi’s serenity is further accentuated by its towering peaks, remote waterfalls, and vibrant indigenous culture, making it an ideal destination for those seeking peace amidst nature’s grandeur.

The Adventurers are back! The original team this time accompanied by Johnny’s friend Mike are back in Egypt for the search of the Staff of Anubis!
This figure line-up is a redux of the original Adventurers line from 1998 + Mike (Dino Island) and Anubis (Pharaoh’s Quest). All of these were mostly designed in 2019-2020 so I’m happy to finally having been able to put them together, and now also to reveal them. Considering this theme is my all-time favourite original LEGO theme, I just had to make modernized versions of them, and I’m super pleased with how they look.
I’m hoping to feature these figures in at least another 3-4 builds the next few years. Thanks to all of those who have inspired me to get back into the rhythm of things with LEGO and also inspired me to build from this great theme. Stay tuned for the MOC reveal tomorrow!
