1952 Chevrolet Series 3100 1/2 Ton Pickup Truck

In 1925, Ford was the first of the Big Three to enter the pickup market, but it was Chevrolet that stood tall as Detroit's top truck-seller by the time of World War II. Chevy resumed civilian truck production in August 1945, and really got back to business in May 1947 with its new “Advance Design” pickups. Wider, longer and lower than the prewar leftovers marketed in 1946, the Advance Design models looked thoroughly modern and featured an equally modern “alligator” hood hinged at the rear. Beneath that gator was Chevy's proven 216-cid “Stovebolt” six-cylinder.

There were few changes as the Advance Design trucks rolled into the 1950s, but Chevy continued to sell more trucks than all rivals—even with Ford's new F-series models on the market after 1948. Notable updates included vent windows being added to the doors in 1951, and a restyled grille and trendy one-piece windshield appearing in 1954. That same year a much improved 235-cid six-cylinder was installed and an optional automatic transmission was introduced. Advance Design production continued briefly into 1955 before the era came to a close and Chevy’s new “Task Force” trucks were launched, and these last-run Advance Design models carried some Task Force features—accordingly, they are highly prized by collectors today.

It's a year since I took up photography and with this thought I thought it would be fun to look through my past year's work this evening. I had hoped I would sit back in amusement and shake my head in a knowing manner. But instead, I'm now wondering if I've advanced in any way at all.

This image is out of focus, over exposed, and probably wouldn't turn any serious tog's head at all. But for all it's faults I feel it has far more clout than anything I've done since. Maybe it's just the fog? Well they do say anything looks good in the fog!!

I do miss my home at times....*SIGH!*

Thank you if you happened to have passed by :)

Clover has been learning to drive...Though I was abit nervous when she drove into the hardware store's parking lot!!..she's not real keen on the brakes yet. But you will notice the intense focused look on her face. She knows exactly what she is doing.

Strange little creatures are appearing everywhere around the world and people are mad for them.

Countless persons walk around the planet using the app on their smartphones, at least when the servers are not down, to locate the prized creatures.

As the euphoria for the phenomenon spread fast, in the Brick Universe a research team composed of the several of the most illustrious scientists is assembled to study the creatures in detail.

Do you know which “little creatures” I’m talking about? Well, it has become a world wide phenomenon hehe :)

I hope you like this photo :)
