So, I am back from my 5-day trip to Buenos Aires. The trip was great, and the city was really good - though not greatly impressive at the first look. Obviously, I am comparing it to my previous similar trip to Paris. Buenos Aires has a striking resemblance to any big Indian city - barring the good roads and highways.

The trip began without much ado. We reached BA at noon on November 2nd and checked in to Hotel Panamericano. My friends and I got ready by 2:30PM and walked around 9 de Julio.

The finale on the night of November 5th was, however, one of the most memorable and amazing experiences I've ever had. Though my photography hasn't been as prolific as that of my Paris trip, Buenos Aires indeed has a great charm and history. I wonder if I had captured its true essence. There are many more pictures to come, but the saddest part is, the last day of my stay (free day!) in BA was totally overcast and there was no sun at all. And that was the day I visited the most vibrant part of the city. I am trying to make those pics look vibrant by making some HDRs. Please visit my stream again and let me know if they are any good.

This monument is the Obelisco de Buenos Aires, the most important square/center of the city. This view is from my room on the 8th floor at the hotel.

An abstract. One very embarrassing thing about these photographs is, I took all the pictures tonight at around 9PM when the sky was still a little bright, and then started viewing them on my lap top a couple of hours later. Only later did I realize that my camera lens was in manual focus and I assumed the camera was focusing on something while taking the pictures :-D. I do not remember if the camera did focus on something, but will have to wait until tomorrow to see how the pictures would turn out with (proper) focusing.

These days I am really fascinated about super long exposures in BULB mode. but i do not have a wireless/wire remote to operate that. I am pretty sure some amazing results can be produced that way.

BTW, Still Motion has a different meaning!
