A big one to visit on our list and after some fun and games accessing in the dead of night, we were successful.
This asylum was built at the end of the 19th century. It was initially used as a hospital for mentally ill patients and later it was used as a military academy. This location held the equipment where people were treated with ECT and operations to the nervous system.
The asylum closed it's doors in the end of the 20th century when there were laws passed that deemed that asylums had to close their doors.

“The Old West Palm Beach National Guard Armory (also known as the Palm Beach County Armory) is a historic site in West Palm Beach, Florida, United States. It is located at 1703 South Lake Avenue. On June 11, 1992, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
The Armory building was constructed in 1939 in Art Deco style by architect William Manley King with Works Progress Administration (WPA) funds. It was occupied by the National Guard Armory from 1939-1982.”
When the Norton Museum closed its art school in 1986, a dedicated group of artists, art teachers, and community activists formed the Armory Art Center to ensure the continuation of practical art instruction in Palm Beach County. In seeking a new home for the art school, they looked to the neglected Armory building constructed in 1939 by the Works Progress Administration (WPA) in an Art Deco style and designed by William Manley King. The building was a National Guard Armory from 1939 to 1982. By the late 1980s, after a period of multiple communities uses including high school dances, the building was scheduled for demolition when the art activists and the Palm Beach County Cultural Council came together to convince the City of West Palm Beach to spare the building from demolition and allow it to be transformed into an art center.
The Armory Art Center was incorporated as a not-for-profit organization on November 21, 1986, after the art group renovated the abandoned Art Deco structure into a vibrant space for art classes and art exhibitions. The center opened its doors to the public in July 1987 as a result of generous contributions from its many supporters, most notably Robert and Mary Montgomery and the Historic Preservation and Cultural Facilities Grants of the State of Florida. In 1992 the Armory was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Over the past three decades, the Armory has taught art classes to thousands of emerging artists of all ages and cultures, exhibited art in hundreds of shows, given workshops taught by national and international visiting master artists, provided summer art camp for thousands of young people, and given new artists-in-residents from around the United States and abroad the opportunity to hone their craft while teaching classes. The Armory looks to a long future of enhancing artistic life in the Palm Beaches.
Recently, the Armory has been the recipient of the 2020 MUSE Legacy Award, granted by the Palm Beach Cultural Council, and is a top-three finalist in 2021 Best of Palm Beach County awards in the category of Entertainment & Leisure. We are honored to have received these awards and look forward to continuing our service to the community.

When I visited the Beaux Arts jewel of Bethlehem Steel's 1901 Lackawanna Administration Building, it was clear the demolition was imminent. The site had become somewhat of mecca for photographers and explorers. FIlled with labs, offices, and hidden rooms that contained stunning vintage pieces, from lamps to typewriters, to a complete control room filled with 1960s era computers. Now demolished, the administration building holds an almost mythical place in my memory. As it closed in the late 1970s and early 80s, its interior fixtures and furnishing remained frozen in time. Time capsules are rare in my travels, in this was one of the most pristine.

On Christmas Eve we made a trip to Longmire in Mount Rainier National Park for some family fun in the snow. As we pulled in I noticed these pretty cool icicles coming off the roof of the administration building.
Have a lot of paperwork building up; you know those things you never get around to; and keep putting off?
Well still have some outstanding as I never got around to it again. Ah well maybe tomorrow? As I'm already committed today.
A photo assignment I did expressing how the present administration's policies effect trans individuals. This was the set up before the shoot of these doll parts or dolls in bottles.
Also known as the VA
We went to the Grand Junction, Colorado, VA, this morning (8-16-22). I had to have labs drawn, needing to get back into their system again. We had, another VA staff member, reach into Koda’s face. These are people working in a medical facility, and know better. Wouldn’t you say; Raymond, Jamie?
I just had my blood drawn, we were leaving the lab. The same lab and only lab, that lost my specimens, in the last 30 years. The staff were waiting at the door, mobbing and blocking it. The woman in our way, turns around towards us, has a card in her hand, sticks it out, right up to, and into Koda’s nose. She giggled, as she walked out ahead of us. There were 4 other staff members there to witness. When I walked around to the lab window to get her name. A woman called me back to the door again, started spilling hand sanitizer all lover the floor, as another man comes up behind us, trying to squeeze by. She did give me her full name, after repeatedly asking. We were mobbed and blocked when we first walked into the lab. This was the second time someone has done this, in just a little over a month.

He was waiting for us at the door, along with two Security Police Officers. We were heading to the lab then. As we entered the main building; he, and the officers, had the area blocked. They moved, then the Pastor said something about Koda. I ignored him, because it’s usually baiting for something else. Especially, with two Security Police, at his side. Koda, and I went up to the lab. They didn’t have the request sent by the Doctor, so I had to go to the ER, to get it straitened out. We received the standard Mobbing, Street Theater, and Gaslighting, as we waited. I finally got it straitened out, and headed back to the lab. We were crowded in the elevator. One man; had everything I left on our kitchen counter, in a see through bag. Koda and I stepped to the rear. Once the elevator stopped, the three people in with us; signaled for us to exit. I told them to go ahead, they were hesitant, but did. They then stood just outside the elevator. As they did, I saw the Pastor, standing to the right of the elevator door. I told Koda to wait, he stopped in place, just inside the elevator. We paused for a couple of seconds, so the Pastor, reaches into the elevator, fingers spread, puts his hand in Koda’s face. I said he’s a service dog, you don’t do that to a service dog. He tells me, he just wanted to say hi. Bullshit! I didn’t want to start a confrontation, because the others were still standing there watching. We went onto the lab. When we got home, I called and spoke to one of the Security Officers. He was one of them, at the door when we first entered. That’s when I found out, the guy was a Pastor. He was waiting in the elevator today, with two others. The elevator closed before we reached it.
As soon as we arrived in the parking lot, the Half-wit show began. There was a woman, pulling in and out of spots, until we parked, then she zoomed over and parked directly in front of us. She rushed in ahead of us, so she could stand at the doorway texting, as we entered. It’s a Half-wit show, they put on for Targets. But, before we got in, a Corvette stops on the crosswalk, so it could zoom off, filling the air with exhaust. He then, drives around in a circle, and parks in a staff parking spot. We get the Zoo People stare. They stare at Koda, like he’s some kind of exotic zoo animal. Looking directly into his eyes. They will even bend down, towards his face. I should know; I did two years volunteer work at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. When we went to leave the parking lot; the guy that picks up people in a golf cart, blocks me in, just as I put my car in revers. We had a Security Police escort, as we left.
What people are trying to do; is to get Koda to act out in an aggressive manner. If he does, he can be removed from the VA Hospital. In turn, I don’t have my service dog with me. Koda, is a champ, and hasn’t reacted to any of it. What he does do; is look at me with concerning eyes. He knows, my blood pressure is starting to rise. He’s a Medical Alert dog.
I adopted him when he was around 11 months old. He came from a shelter, here in Grand Junction, Colorado. The first thing I noticed, was his reaction to hand movements. He would pull away, if I reached out, towards his head. He, also would not eat from his bowl. He kept taking a small pieces of food, step away then eat it. If I would say anything, he would walk away, tail between his legs. Who knows what kind of abuse, the poor guy had. I could tell, and started to hand feed him. He slowly began to trust me. I took him to dog parks, city parks, everywhere I could to get him socialized. I took him to a training area, where he could maneuver through or around obstacles. I trained him at automated street crossing. I taught him all the basic commands, and many more. He will pull a shopping cart, turn right/left, and wait, on commands. What I didn’t know; is that he would save my life. Not once, but twice.
We were in Arizona, I wanted to get a walk in before it got to hot. We were about ½ mile from camp. He was off leash (I try to let him be a dog), he was hanging close to me. He rushes up, hits me in the thigh with his nose. It almost knocked me over. I said what, he gives me a concerning look, but didn’t move. I said what again, he sets in place, begins barking. I said what Koda, what, show me. He stands up, turns around and slowly starts walking back to camp. I thought, maybe, he’s getting hot; so I followed. We were about 100 yards from camp, and I blacked out. The next thing I knew, I was laying on the ground, he was licking the dirt from my face. This happened on another walk, in Wyoming.
Koda, sensed something coming on, and warned me. The 2nd time, I found a large boulder, and sat down.
What I’m now finding out; is that I have neurological problems. I have a blocked Carotid Artery, restricting blood flow to the right side of my brain. The VA, has been Dicking me around for over two years. Starting with the Grand Junction, VA. Then the Phoenix VA, now Grand Junction, again. Koda, knew over a year ago, and warned me. My problems have gotten worse. I wake up some mornings; Koda, is standing over me, sniffing into my mouth. It’s not halitosis, he’s picking up on something.
I initially, trained him to help me help on walks, and shopping. He has pulled me up many hills, and stream banks. When I say pull or up, you would think he’s a sled dog. He’s so eager to please. Now, he’s telling me something, the VA should have two years ago.
The hate and retaliation, we receive in VA facilities, is nothing new. Veterans, are denied and delayed, medical care and treatment; just for standing up for themselves. If you address the shortcomings in a tactful manner; the retaliation from VA Staff, can be overwhelming. Some staff will do everything they can to discredit a Veteran, to include the Psychiatric Staff. Many Patient Advocates, do not advocate for the Veterans. They represent, these Toxic facilities. I have met some of the most hateful, vile people, that walk this earth; in VA Hospitals and Clinics. We go into these facilities for help, care and healing. Instead, this is what we receive in the United Sates of America.

These are good examples, of what is happening, and how Veterans are being treated. Our current president continues to brag about the 1%, that serve. But, it's a Comedian (John Stewart) that has the courage to stand up for us, and do the job, our president should be doing. Gang Stalking is deeply embedded in the United States Medical Communities. To include the VA.
The retaliation we received from our last post “The Bog Cover-up”, was extreme. We had the National Guard Jet, dive at our motorhome (again), gunfire each time we step out, planes circle right above us; as Koda tries to take a poo. A camper pulled in, just as we went to bed; Koda jumping up all night, looking out the bedroom windows. We went to dump and fill tanks today. Mobbed, and a woman teaching her teenage son how to hate. Walking pass the motorhome, didn’t get the attention they needed. So, her young son starts whistling, looking to his mom for approval. It made her day. We got the Black Diesel Exhaust Skit twice. And, much, much more; as I type this. This is the life of a Whistleblower/Targeted Individual; in the United States of America

1.26 was an installation by Janet Echelman at the Signal Festival in Prague. The festival as a whole was really impressive and a great way to see the city in a new light (pun intended...). With this picture there was a fairly boring foreground from where I had set up my camera, so I waited for a tram to pass and had a relatively long exposure in order to make the pic a bit more interesting. This is one of my favourite photos from 2015.
A description of the installation taken from the festival website is as follows:
This spectacular seven-meter installation by American artist Janet Echelman creates an expansive net that floats in an ethereal manner over the heads of the viewer. This combination of monumental forms with apparently light materials creates an unconventional conceptual canvas for a play of light created by variable waves of contrasting colours.
The concept of the work is inspired by the interconnectedness of terrestrial phenomena and systems. The artist used data from NASA laboratories (the National Aeronautics and Space Administration in the USA) and NOAA (the American National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) related to the effects of the 2010 earthquake in Chile, which caused the shortening of Earth days by 1.26 microseconds. The shape of the net is defined by the various heights of Tsunami waves across the ocean.
Visually and conceptually this engaging installation invites not only festival visitors but passing pedestrians to pause and contemplate.
American artist Janet Echelman excels in all categories and definitions. Her unique sculptures and installations on a monumental scale change depending on the effects of wind, water or light. Echelman became inspired in India by the lives of local fishermen, and she began using unusual materials for her installations, such as fishing nets. In her work, she combines traditional crafts with the latest technology, and she cooperates with experts from various fields, ranging from aviation engineering to rural architecture and light design.
She has been awarded several times for her work by the professional public. She earned the prestigious Guggenheim and Fulbright scholarship as well as several other important prizes and recognitions, in recent years, for example, from the Smithsonian Institute, the Society of Architects in Boston and the Aspen Institute.

"The Farm Security Administration (FSA) was a New Deal agency created in 1937 to combat rural poverty during the Great Depression in the United States. It succeeded the Resettlement Administration (1935–1937).[1]
The FSA is famous for its small but highly influential photography program, 1935–44, that portrayed the challenges of rural poverty. The photographs in the Farm Security Administration/Office of War Information Photograph Collection form an extensive pictorial record of American life between 1935 and 1944. This U.S. government photography project was headed for most of its existence by Roy E. Stryker, who guided the effort in a succession of government agencies: the Resettlement Administration (1935–1937), the Farm Security Administration (1937–1942), and the Office of War Information (1942–1944). The collection also includes photographs acquired from other governmental and non-governmental sources, including the News Bureau at the Offices of Emergency Management (OEM), various branches of the military, and industrial corporations.[2]
In total, the black-and-white portion of the collection consists of about 175,000 black-and-white film negatives, encompassing both negatives that were printed for FSA-OWI use and those that were not printed at the time. Color transparencies also made by the FSA/OWI are available in a separate section of the catalog: FSA/OWI Color Photographs.[2]
The FSA stressed "rural rehabilitation" efforts to improve the lifestyle of very poor landowning farmers, and a program to purchase submarginal land owned by poor farmers and resettle them in group farms on land more suitable for efficient farming.(Wikipedia)

Obscene incidents within the financial administration
Coming from San Marco, it's on the right-hand side of the Rialto bridge. Looking more closely, you'll be able to make out two fairly obscene reliefs that have in fact, a great deal to do with the history of the Rialto bridge: one shows a man with a disproportionately huge penis in the shape of a nail, the other shows a female figure with her intimate parts placed over a flame-spewing votive bowl. The two figures illustrated one and the same story surrounding the construction of the Rialto bridge. After the wooden bridge had rotted or burned down several times, in 1507 the city administration decided to erect a stone bridge across the Canal. Decades of arguments about financing and design ensued, spurring the residents of San Polo, consisting of prostitutes, market traders, vendors and craftsmen, to make sardonic remarks. The man would call out: "Sto ponte i lo finira quando ch'ecl casso fara l'ongia" (if this bridge will ever be finished my penis will turn into a nail), and the woman jeered an analogy: " Quando che i finisse el ponte, me chiapara fogo la mona" (if the bridge should ever be completed my vagina will catch fire). Both jibes were completely typical of the Venetian people of the time, forever incorporating obscenities into their jeering chants. Indeed, construction on the Rialto bridge started in 1588, and it was completed in 1591. Now the joke was on the local people, and the city administration used the two reliefs to show that the doubters were now due some "nails" or "flames".

Im Jahr 1935 wurde in einem Waldgebiet mit dem Bau der Luftmunitionsanstalt begonnen und es entstanden anfangs ein Gleisanschluss und Zuwegungen. Man errichtete 60 Bunker für fertiggestellte Munition und 12 für Zünder, weitere Bunker entstanden später. Ein Jahr später wurden Betriebs- und Verwaltungsgebäude auf dem Gelände errichtet.
Vor Beginn des zweiten Weltkrieges waren rund 40 Arbeiter und eine ähnliche Anzahl an Soldaten in der Anlage beschäftigt, im Verlauf des Krieges stieg die Zahl der Beschäftigten auf bis zu 500. Zusätzlich existierte auf dem Gelände ein aus rund 150 sowjetischen Kriegsgefangenen bestehendes Arbeitskommando.
Die Hauptaufgabe der Luftmunitionsanstalt war die Bezünderung und Lagerung von Bomben. Es wurden 2 kg-Brandbomben, 10 kg-Splitterbomben und 50, 250 und 500 kg-Sprengbomben verarbeitet. Zusätzlich ist Flak-Munition in den Kalibern 2; 7,5; 8,8 und 10,5 cm eingelagert worden.
Am Kriegsende erging der Befehl zur Zerstörung der Luftmunitionsanstalt. Da sich die Feuerwerker gegen diesen Befehl wehrten und nur kleine Teile der Munition sprengten, kam es nicht zu Zerstörungen an Einrichtungen. Am 11. April 1945 besetzte die British Army die Anstalt ohne Gegenwehr.

Memorial marker in front of the Hot Springs National Park Administration Building on the corner of Central Avenue and Reserve Street in Hot Springs, Arkansas. It reads:

James Alexander Cary
was killed by bootlerggers while patrolling on
West Mountain in Hot Springs National Park.
Cary was the first National Park Service
Ranger to be murdered in the line of duty.
His service and sacrifice to the
National Park Service and the people of
this country will never be forgotten.
On top of the rock monument is a park ranger hat with the letters USNPS...a fitting tribute to Ranger Cary.
Three bracketed photos were taken with a handheld Nikon D7200 and combined with Photomatix Pro to create this HDR image. Additional adjustments were made in Photoshop CS6.

Kennedy Space Center, Fla. -- The Space Vehicle for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Apollo 11, Lunar landing mission is shown arriving at Launch Complex 39-A, after roll-out from the Vehicle Assembly Building 3.5 miles away. The 363 foot tall Saturn/Apollo vehicle and its mobile launcher were transported down the Crawlerway at a speed of one mile per hour, and are shown being carried up the pad incline by the Crawler-transporter.

With a change in national administration, bird flu is no longer being tracked, but it is rampant here in northern Colorado. Yesterday there were 6 goose carcasses on the ice of our small backyard lake, another goose swimming in endless tight circles in the strip of open water, and another goose stumbling and reeling on the ice like a drunk, symptoms of bird flu. Taking advantage of the extensive meal opportunity were 3 adult bald eagles and 4 juvenile/immature bald eagles plus a female northern harrier. These raptors are now at risk for developing bird flu and dying or being unable to have a successful hatch of eggs this spring. Bird flu is now getting into cattle, and there have been some incidences of humans who contracted bird flu.

These rooms belonged to the administrator responsible for finances and the community’s spirit, the most important principle of which was collectivity. Three pottery jugs containing 560 silver coins were discovered in this room. This appears to have been the central treasury of the Sectarians.
Qumran is an archaeological site extending over an area of 100 x 80 meters (320 x 263 ft), in the West Bank and is a National Park. It is located on a dry plateau about 1.5 kilometers (1 mi) from the northwestern shore of the Dead Sea. The Hellenistic period settlement was constructed around 134-104 B.C., and was occupied most of the time until it was destroyed by the Romans in 68 A.D. approximately. It is best known as the settlement nearest to the Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were hidden, in the sheer cliff caves. The principal excavations at Qumran were conducted by Roland de Vaux in 951-56, though several later excavations at the site have since been carried out.
