YPN Realtors group threw a great party last night in our building. Fun party and local DJ Barry M. was flipp'n the wax(ok not really since it was a digital ;-) ). Great event and we look forward to more events in the future!
Each of the kids had to prepare an "adlib" solo to present during the concert. They did a wonderful job!

Here we're in Elizabeth St, looking south towards the King St intersection...in the mid distance the NSW Supreme Court building appears at the SE cnr of Elizabeth/King Sts...
This is an interesting pic...I think it has to have been taken in ca. the late 1880s or early 1890s...there's no sign of Riley's Hotel (the later Balfour Hotel) which was built on the NE cnr of Elizabeth/King Sts, in ca. 1893-94. Riley's Hotel evidently replaced the Windsor Castle Hotel, which occupied the same site...I think that has to be the Windsor Castle Hotel we see here, with the walls plastered with adverts...

'The Echo' newspaper which we see advertised here was published from 1875 to 1893...
The building that partly makes it into frame on the very left is Chancery Place...I haven't managed to discover any info re its construction...but it starts being mentioned in the digitised newspapers in the early 1880s...so I suspect that's when it was built...in the 20th century it was incorporated into the Balfour Hotel...
