Here's a shot taken along the Avenue of the Ancients in Northern California. The Ave. of the Ancients is a 26 mile stretch that parallels Highway 101 in Northern California. There are 13 separate groves of Redwood trees here and it would make for a great Bed&Breakfast weekend, after sleeping the night in a Rest Area a B&B would have been nice but I'm a photographer on a budget, Maybe next time, Hehe.
If you have any questions about this photo or about photography in general, I will do my best to help, just post a comment or send me a Flickr mail and I will respond as quickly as possible.
Thanks for taking the time to take a look at my photos, and as always, your views, comments, faves, and support are greatly appreciated!! Have a great week my friends!! :)

Like is all about adjustments. I think it would be rare if we did not have to make allowances.
(I am always full of ponderous thoughts and you would get more of them if I just could write it on paper and not have to type)

standing in canola stubble on a somewhat nice afternoon for late november, complete with a sprinkle, dramatic clouds and leafless trees...norma, north dakota, about 20 miles from the canadian border
This was the first image I shot, at this new favorite place. The composition is similar to my previous post; however the lighting is very different. Shot during sunset, I was able to record a wide range in contrast of light. A neutral density grad is necessary to keep both the sky and canyon details as correctly exposed as possible. Adjusting white & color balance in post-processing keeps tones looking very close to the way my eyes witnessed the scene.

This tiny plastic ring adjuster measures 1/8th of an inch wide, by 3/4 inches in length.
It is really handy for keeping rings on your finger until you can get to the jeweler to have them resized - and you can cut them to fit any ring. Here you see it displayed against a very small jewelry box meant for rings.
Staircase in a hotel in Prague, where the ground floor furnishing offered the opportunity for an unusual composition ;-)
I thought I'd do something a little different on this image. Instead of spending a ton of time processing the image, I wanted to do something more natural. I literally spent more time fighting the urge to make more adjustment than adjusting. I only made 3 adjustments on this image, nothing else. I darkened the exposure. I raised the shadows up on the mountains and gravel bar. I leveled the picture. That's it. Nothing else. What do you think Should I have done more?

This is the adjustment screw for an oscillating water sprinkler head. The screw adjusts the length of the spray and to some extent the breadth.

Hi There!
I wouldn't have believed it until I saw this happen, but the parent physically corrected this very cheeky gosling not once, but twice, the second time causing the gosling to fall over. I am not certain what the gosling did wrong, but it was certainly something very naughty. I've always been fascinated by bird and animal behaviour, so it was fascinating to watch all of this transpire.
After the two "adjustments," the gosling looked as cheeky as ever, but kept its distance from the family. I guess this was the "Wild Child!"
I want to thank you for your views and your comments. I do love hearing from you! Have a great weekend!

This photo was taken for "Vowel" theme on the Macro Mondays group.
Something that starts with a vowel (the letter a, e, i, o, u).
I used the letter "a" for adjust. The photo contains a small in flight analog adjustment knob on a FrSky Radio for controlling RC model aircraft.
