Okay... my Mac doesn't really like Windlight, but I do try...

Bike with adjustable head angle and trail with 3 channel analogue data recorder.

One from spring a few years ago, taken in the garden. Underexposed but responded reasonably well to some processing exposure adjustments in post, as D810 images often do.

Topaz Adjust AI

I recently did a series of videos on Topaz Lab's new range of AI tools, and the latest addition to this package is Topaz Adjust AI which is a tool designed to allow you to use AI to make base improvements to your photo, and then use a range of other tools to further refine those adjustments (brightness, contrast, sharpen, etc). I used an image of a Red Panda as an example of the before and after, the before (below) is the unmodified JPEG image whilst the top is the Adjust AI version of the image. For those that are interested in more details, I have also done a youtube run-through at trav.to/h6yub Hope this is of interest.

Tower Bridge, as seen from City Hall.

The wind rolled across the desert like a sigh, reshaping the endless waves of golden dust. James Wren wiped the sweat from his brow and adjusted his pack. He had walked this road for three days in search of a gas station to refuel his car. His water was low. His hope, lower.

Then he heard it.

A faint, crackling melody, twisting through the wind. It was impossible — a tune that didn’t belong to the desert, something old, something ghostly. He looked ahead, searching for the source.

At first, he thought it was a trick of the heat. But there it was, abandoned on the road — a rusting car from another time. The windshield was shattered, the doors long eroded by sand and wind. But the radio, impossibly, still played.

James approached cautiously. The melody wavered and dipped, 1930’s jazz, the kind played in smoky speakeasies a century ago.

His fingers brushed against the corroded metal of the door. A whisper of a voice rose out of the music.

"…always knew you’d find me…"

James’ breath hitched. He stepped back, pulse hammering. The voice was thin, feminine, stretched with age. It wasn’t a recording. It was speaking.

"It’s been so long, Jimmy."

The desert was empty. No one had called him Jimmy since —

No.

He swallowed hard. He forced himself to look inside.

The dial of the radio glowed. The voice rose from the speaker.

"You promised me a drive to the coast, Jimmy. You never came back."

He remembered. A lifetime ago, or maybe a hundred lifetimes. The night he ran. The night he left her behind.

The music crackled, fading in and out.

"I waited. I waited, Jimmy."

The wind howled and the sand began to shift.

The radio let out one last, ghostly note before falling silent.

Used the brush tool in lightroom to make a little colour adjustment. The fountain was pure white and the tree was quite harsh in in reflection in the water although it is blue.

In Piazza Navona, commissioned by Pope Innocent X, is the Fountain of the four rivers ( Fontana dei fiumi ). Begun in 1648, Bernini's travertine fountain includes rocks, animals, and four enormous marble figures personifying the four continents.

The Danube adjusts Innocent X's coat of arms, the Rio della Plata holds up his hand to shield himself from the supposedly unstable church of sant' Agnese ( based on a false claim that Bernini did not trust the workmanship of the rival architect, Borromini ), the Nile covers his head beacsue its source was unknown, and the Ganges steers the ship of the Church.

View On Black

I think I need a new camera. All the shots I took at this place have weird noise in them. the noise kind of looks like rectangular shapes and it's all of over the images in a kind of pattern. Seems to be a electronic problem of some sort :( I tried my hardest to get rid of most of it but it leaves the images looking a little strange. I suppose you can't really notice if you just take a quick look at them. Sigh ....

Here's my new leg... from the various screws in it, it almost looks adjustable..

Image was cropped in camera as 16:9 ratio, no further ratio adjustments were applied in PP.

From the Richard Harvey Kitchen Studio.

Tip of the day: If you’re going to photograph a crystal glass on a black oven hob do make sure they’re laboratory clean first, and then wait for daylight (I didn’t). Eventually settle on no overhead hood light, no flash, just the ceiling light. Let the ISO run riot. Adjust everything downwards after - exposure, highlights, contrast. Experiment with Affinity’s spotlight effect, then clone out the grease spots you missed. Adjust White Balance to deal with diffracted blue spots you also missed. Then cook dinner.

Vow never to attempt again, except you know you will….

Well, if you're going to look, I may as well make a show of it.

We have 6 small ceiling mounted spotlights out kitchen set to shine onto the walls to create general soft illumination.

This is the adjustable part of one of those fittings
