Caught this scene at the San Diego Zoo. Apparently, this woman had videos of wild gorillas on her phone and was showing the gorilla behind the glass. The captive gorilla was absolutely fascinated and sat there eating vegetable snacks while watching.

So I've been wanting to start an A to Z series for some time now but just didn't know where to start. Last night while we were eating a steak and shrimp dinner, well I was finished, but roma refused to eat all her vegetables. So I started playing with her string beans and her carrots. Well, I ended up spelling out flickr and then realized at that moment how addicted I am to it. Only true flickrites understand but that's okay, we stick together right? Have a great day everyone!

My piece was originally created in Night Cafe, but I spent hours cleaning up total AI garbage and using Photoshop. I don't own Topaz, but I wish I could afford it. I placed it in Camera Raw and tweaked the details with Noise Reduction, Color Noise Reduction, and sharpening. Then some dehaze and more clarity. I flattened it, converted it to a smart object, and enlarged the piece to make it available on sites that require at least 4 MB. That requires going back in and hand-painting aliased areas and halos so they don't show up. Anyhow, it takes a lot of detailed work to get the clarity I wanted. I'm sure I could have saved time with Topaz... Maybe someday! G

En mi viaje a Menorca (Agosto 2006) fuimos a las fiestas de un pueblo llamado San Clement. El principal protagonista de las fiestas es el caballo. Los jinetes o caixers, pasan entre la multitud demostrando sus habilidades y haciendo saltar a los caballos al ritmo de las típicas canciones de estas fiestas.
In my trip to Menorca we went to the celebrations of a town called San Clement. The main protagonist of the celebrations is the horse. The riders or "caixers", pass between the multitude demonstrating their abilities and making jump to the horses to the rate of the typical songs of these celebrations.
