I am officially addicted to lacy crochet. I am starting another project, this time a square doily. I love having this to work on when i'm not in the mood to sew, but want to be crafty. It's an especially nice thing to work on with Brice awake. I am able to crochet a little at a time, and still put it down and grab him before he tries and eats cords. It seems like I can never get into the sewing room these days. I am thinking of ways to make my house more functional for me to craft (so I don't have to go to the basement) yet not have the upstairs looking like a craft room it self. I don't think my husband would appreciate that...especially when the guys come over to do manly things.

A real treat for CHEESE addicts. Also *delicious* served with a bit of cold cranberry preserve!
Heat some oil for deep frying, a piece of bread dropped in should start sizzling straight away.
Cut a mozzarella ball into slices, about 1cm thick, and pat dry. On one small plate sieve some plain flour and mix in some salt and pepper. Beat 2 eggs in a shallow bowl. And spread fine breadcrumbs over another plate.
Press the cheese in the flour, coating each slice. Then one by one dip each slice in the egg, let any excess drip off quickly, then dip in the breadcrumbs coating it, once again let any loose crumbs fall off. Dip once more in the egg then the breadcrumbs, then place into the hot oil.
Remove the cheese from the oil, and place on kitchen towel to dry off the excess oil.
