after-rain .. shot from last weekend...
Many organisms cannot live on earth without the sun. This also applies to us humans. Without the sun I feel unmotivated and even sick in the long term. I love to feel the warmth of the sun on my face. This picture was taken on a glorious spring morning and is intended as a reminder of how wonderful it is to stand in the light.
Thought this would make an interesting shot of the Milky Way but soon had second thoughts after parking my truck on the medial strip.
Wind was blowing from my left to right. The sugar company was planting a new crop of sugar cane and kicking up a ton of dust. Soon realized that dust and headlights are not a good combination.
Took only three exposures and told myself this is crazy. Quickly jumped back into my truck and found a safer place.
Single exposure taken in the middle of the Haleakala Highway as the Milky Way rises above Mt. Haleakala.
