Waldemar Otto (1982): Adam plunders his paradise
Inscription on the sculpture that stands at the entrance to the Hamburg Botanical Garden: "This Adam is not an ideal image, because he stands for humanity, which is in the process of destroying the balance of nature and itself. This is a warning reminder that that there is a paradise to lose."
Kalandra: The State of the World
Born of ice and snow, Adam Butterfly emerged from the depths of my imagination. Enough said!
OK, I lied (about not saying another word).
I called my wife over a few minutes ago to take a look at this photo and asked "what comes to your mind when you see this?". She said ''a butterfly". I've never been so pleased with her feedback as I was this time. Why, I already had a title in mind ("Adam Butterfly") before she said anything!
It's like she's Eve and I am Adam.
Adam-Parsifal

My artistic nephew painted the masks himself to co-ordinate with the costumes. He is so talented. In addition to drawing and painting, he carves, and makes jewellery. Each time he visits he has someting new to show me....
Prophet Adam (AS) is regarded as the first human being created by God from the earth. While the core narrative of his creation and life in Paradise is shared, each faith emphasizes different theological roles for him.
Core Shared Beliefs
Creation: Adam was formed by God from dust or clay, and God breathed life (a soul) into him.
Companion: Eve (Hawwa) was created as his companion, often described as being formed from Adam's rib.
The Fall: They initially lived in a paradisiacal garden (Eden) but were expelled to Earth after eating fruit from a forbidden tree, a moment often termed "the Fall".
Progenitor: He is known as the "Father of Humankind," and all humans are considered his descendants.
On a hike yesterday with David Hill, we met Adam and his two girls who had hiked in the day before and spent the night on Shortoff. A very nice family, and I was amazed that the girls were only age two and five years old, having a great time with their father in Linville Gorge Wilderness Area on such a chilly night. Memories being made which all will remember for years to come...

A favorite shot of our son Adam taken many years ago with my old Canon film camera. He was 30 years old this month. Hard to believe how quickly time passes. He now lives in the Portland, OR area and is a musician. Happy birthday to you kiddo. We just wish you lived a little closer.

When I woke up, this was not what I wanted to see on my news feed. Adam West, The Bright Knight, has passed away.

Adam, you are one cruel son-of-a-something.
And a total badass.
I have no idea whether to love you or hate you.
Anyway, Adam is one of the more interesting characters in RWBY, and one of the best designs, so I decided to make him.
I sculpted his hair with Green Stuff. I made his mask with plastic and glued it to the hair. His horns are e-tape.
His jacket is made with e-tape, with red and white designs painted on. I also painted designs on the backs of his gloves.
For his weapons, Wilt and Blush, I decided to try making the sword fit in the sheath. I made a roll of Green Stuff and shoved the sword blade into it. Once it had half dried, I pulled to blade out and then hollowed out the slot a bit more with a needle. Once it was fully dry, I sanded it down to the proper shape for the sheath.
I then painted the sword blade and sheath, and made a handle with Green Stuff and e-tape.
Adam was one of the hardest figures I've made, but definitely one of the most rewarding. He looks awesome sitting on my display stand with Cinder.
