I was mainly just playing around. Just needed an image for the prayer blog.

They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be afraid of the Lord our God, and shall fear because of thee.

Poster of the missing Panchen Lama, discovered near Dharamsala, India.

Act now! Freedom in Tibet! Free Tibet!

Tibet's stolen child is Gedhun Choekyi Nyima,

the boy recognized by His Holiness the Dalai Lama as one of Tibet's most important religious leaders. He is known as the Panchen Lama and is one of the young victims of China's brutal repression of the Tibetan people.

Determined to control religion in Tibet, the Chinese authorities kidnapped this young boy and his family in 1995 just days after he was recognized as the Panchen Lama. He is growing up under house arrest. Despite repeated appeals to gain access to him, no international agency or human rights organization has been granted contact with the young Panchen Lama or His family.

But the story is not over.

Suspicions that he had been kidnapped were confirmed in 1996, when the Chinese government admitted to holding the boy and his family in 'protective custody'.

After repeated attempts to locate and visit the boy, not one international agency or human rights organization has been allowed to meet with the Panchen Lama or his family, and their condition remains uncertain.

___________________________

Wohlergehen, Lebensbedingungen, Aufenthaltsort, all dies ist unbekannt.

I know its early but what with painting the house I'm not sure when I'll get another chance to post. So here's wishing you and your loved ones, those still with us and those waiting for us elsewhere, a happy Christmas full of love and caring. And for a change (for me anyway) let's think of those less fortunate than us and maybe, make a small difference to someone you don't know! Today, I overhead my wife talking to her sister. She was telling her about how hard it is for some people, how the hospitality industry is a thankless place to work and how staff are (mis)treated. Then she talked about the homeless. She told her about how my eldest daughter would always take time to talk to them, treat them with dignity as they sat on the streets of our capital, while the well heeled hordes passed by, indifferent to their plight, at best! She related how my daughter, after talking to one of them, asked him his what he needed. He said he needed €15 to pay for a hostel bed, to have a safe place to sleep. She asked him his name - he told her. He asked him his surname and he got a bit reticent. - why did she want to know. "So I can book a hostel for you for tonight and pay for it". Which she did. I felt humbled, and very proud. Although my wife takes most of the credit for my kids upbringing and the morals they are imbued with. This is a classic case of the next generation showing the previous one how to live a good life. I guess its my turn to follow her lead - to do what she does, not what I say. Will you follow that lead? The next time you pass someone on the street, don't pass judgement, don't "tut, tut". Do something. Make a difference. My daughter has put it up to me. She didn't even mention it. But by God she has challenged my standards. Has she challenged yours?

Kariba Kone is a young entrepreneur who runs the 'energy shop' in Garalo village, one of six outlets set up by Christian Aid partner Mali Folkecenter. The shops provide people with clean energy solutions for lighting and cooking in rural areas where there is no electricity. Kariba sells solar lamps, solar chargers and solar panels, plus improved cookstoves, LPG gas and butane gas for cooking. People can buy the products directly from the shop or can apply for microcredit.

Government support is improving yields of maize and other crops for Ghanaian farmers like Hikma’s father Hardi. Hardi has received advice from government field workers and has found he can increase his yields many times over, taking away the worry of feeding Hikma, 8, and his other children. But unless Ghana’s government can collect more taxes to pay for additional field workers, stories like Hikma’s and Hardi’s will remain all too rare.

Athens, Greece.

This video exposes an undeniable atrocity: 11 years tortured, starved, a stateless refugee at UNHCR’s gates. On June 22, 2025, dawn, I was violently kicked awake—a calculated onslaught to crush my existence, not isolated. Witness banner’s destruction 🚩, brazen camera seizure—all endorsed by complicit UNHCR staff.

Justice pleas, silenced by negligence & Greek police apathy, expose a state-sanctioned campaign to erase my being. This footage reveals 11 years of torment by agencies meant to protect. For political captivity & June 1st complicity, read my article: www.linkedin.com/pulse/captives-reckoning-june-22-assault.... Share the truth. 📢 Demand accountability. Silence is complicity. Act! For justice. For humanity. ✊

A vigil for the climate was held on the eve of the first day of COP20, the UN climate talks in Lima. A symbolic lighting of candles began the celebration to mark the end of one year of monthly fasting by activists and campaigners around the world.

Make these "abusers" "accountable!"

Women gathered to protest against the current spate of incidents of violence against women and children in Sri Lanka. The protest was organised by Women for Women. The protest was held at Lipton Circus on 20th July 2012. Women demanded the authorities to take immediate action and bring the perpetrators to justice, rather than making inappropriate comments!
