With Winter gone and May is finally here. It’s nice to know that the heavy April showers have left as well. It’s time to “Spring Into Action” as we plant ground cover, flowers and more trees than I care to count. The longer days are great. Temperatures are such that we can enjoy being outside whether taking a walk or working in the yard. I hope to take and share plenty of photos this season. Gratitude and Kindness grow much like our garden but without the physical labor.
Inside Wave Action a lot of water coming by the truck window followed by this large blue brush, feels like Sea World, shot in North Carolina.
Springtime is full of surprises in the forest as each day brings into view plenty of tree budding action.

As a westbound Utah Railway coal train crosses over to Main 1 at URJ (Utah Railway Junction) near Martin, Utah, a set of light helpers led by venerable Rio Grande SD40T-2 No. 5371 waits on Main 2 on October 24, 2007. Five six-axle Utah Railway locomotives rumble over the crossover working as on a mid-train helper on the westbound load going up Price River grade toward Soldier Summit.

The weekend wouldn't be complete without a shot of Ripley enjoying the great weather we had. This crazy toy is nicknamed "face hugger," and is one of her favorites. If you hadn't guessed it, Ripley is named after the character played by Sigourney Weaver in the movie Alien. :)
The Apache railway switches their train in Holbrook, AZ at the interchange with BNSF on a beautiful October morning. We were super lucky to get an Apache run out in AZ, and hung around all day waiting for them to finish work and head back. It was a lovely break from orange bongas, and gave us some much needed variety.
