3 SP ACs and I imagine some mid-train helpers have a loaded coal train in tow. Soon they will dip into tunnel 3 and then continue the climb towards the summit at Tehachapi. 8.97
Alright Gentlemen, you know what we are here for. Recover that ACS module, and if you have to, shoot anyone who stands in our way.
Amtrak ACS-64 no. 617 is seen leading Northeast Regional train 173 into Newark Penn Station, after crossing Dock Bridge. The train is arriving on Track 4, which is unusual for Amtrak as they more often arrive on Track 3.
Amtrak ACS-64 no. 642 is seen leading train 56(2) across the Susquehanna River Bridge. Early action construction has begun on the replacement for the bridge, which was built in 1906, with two new 2-track bridges, thus doubling the number of tracks crossing the river and increasing train speeds across the bridge. This early action work includes removing the abandoned piers next to the existing bridge, which are remnants of the bridge built by the Philadelphia, Wilmington & Baltimore Railroad in 1866.
More information about the project can be found here:
Amtrak ACS-64 no. 655 is seen leading Northeast Regional train 171(28) into Newark Penn Station. On this day the train was also hauling catenary inspection car 10005 and geometry inspection car 10002, the Corridor Clipper.
