Here's the front door -- but it could be just about anywhere in the house these last few days! Life is getting gloriously busy -- and it does feel that way -- and the mud about the house, in these perfect pawprints, seems as apt a metaphor as any for the "radical domestic imperfection"* of our days.
All over the Northern Hemisphere spring is beginning to unfurl, in ways bombastic and bashful, and I'm all for it. Consider joining Molly's new group spring coming!

I took that phrase from an essay called Homespun Mom Comes Unraveled, by Shannon Hayes. I've linked to it here on Flickr before but not in a long while. It's one of my favorite pieces of writing, ever.
Well, the only real signs of spring around here are that most of the snow is gone and some days it's warm enough to go out without a coat. Hopefully the flowers, trees and grass will soon take the hint and start busting out all over. In the meantime, I'll enjoy these pussy willows that a sweet friend dropped off at my place.
